I read Muto wants to do away with the Triple Crown and create a new championship... What do you guys think of this move and if he's gonna use the MLW title as All Japan's new main title, should we all recognize it as a legit world title?
First off, the MLW title... Isn't just a little promotion in the states? It's probably only recognized as AJ's secondary title if anything...
Second, The TC is priceless. It's the most important (if not than the second!) title in the world! Chamging the 3 titles to a single title isn't a big deal in a way, as long as it's still called the TC. Now if what MUTO wants is to "retire it" and start up a new title... Now that's another story! A bad one if you ask me...
Indeed, this is one of the most prestigious titles in the history of wrestling. It has been held by some of the biggest names in the game and some of the most credible champions. Many consider this the only true world title, I certainly consider it as having World status.

It is a living void and all forms come from it, and whoever realises the void, is filled with life, power and the love of all things - Bruce Lee, the Tao of Jeet Kune Do
I'm banking on/praying that Mutoh learned from Fuyiki's WEW Title. There's no way he's really stupid enough to get rid of the TC. Get a new belt to represent the TC perhaps, but certainly not deal away with it. I had always thought he was just trying to get some free press, not actually consider retiring the TC. He's still Baba's puppet after all, and I don't see her going for that.
I've written an article on the value of the Triple Crown and IWGP Titles for the www.oldschool-wrestling.com site so I'll post the link as soon as it's up.
