[All Japan] Wrestler of the 1990s

Please judge by the wrestler's achievement in this promotion between 1990 and 1999, not by your preference.

It was a toss up between Misawa, Kawada, & Hansen... but I had to go with Misawa because of his achievements.

Misawa won everything... Never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER... jobbed to anyone...

... except... that he lost the TC twice to Kawada... Kawada gets the vote

Didn't Misawa have at least one match-of-the year with about half the guys on this list in the 90's?

    Does anyone really come close?...

...to Misawa in this poll?Yes Kawada is better on some levels than Misawa, and I think for the most part he is quite a bit better seller than Misawa.Bur overall in their primes,I think Misawa was the most well rounded wrestler on the planet. Not to mention all the titles, tournements and big matches he either won or took place in.

But think of this; look at all these names on this poll list and realize why All Japan usually had the best main events on the planet. In the early '90s the undercard of All Japan was almost as strong with workers like Kikuchi,Asako,Kroffat,Funas,Akiyama,Ace,Fuchi, and a few other making appearances on tours like Smith,Billington, and even Van Dam.Just being mentioned on the list of works to vote for says alot about how good they ALL were.

But my vote went to Misawa.

    KOBASHI

Everybody on the list did some amazing things but Kobashi is the one who inspired excitement when ever i saw he was in a match.

Bottom Line - Kobashi made me want to watch his Matches.

Yes, Mantis, but read Hisa's messae again. He said to vote based on accomplishments, not by your preference.
You may say that Kobashi accomplishes much because he makes everything exciting for you, but then that'd be a personal preference thing.

See, that's the thing, although he may not be your favourite wrestler you have to vote for Misawa on this one. Won everything and had an unparalleled number of ***** matches. Was the most consistant and the most decorated - has to be him.

Not to mention look how banged up Kobashi and Kawada are. Misawa, even though he has little in way of knee support left has been the healthest, and biggest draw of the big 3.

    Definately Misawa.

I'd like to know why there were even choices other than Misawa to vote for on this one. It only gives people the opportunity to let their heart rule their head. Oh trust me, I tried long and hard to try to justify a vote for Vader, but it was in naught. My hat's off to guy who justified it to himself though. That's some serious Vader markdom and you should be proud of it!

Misawa is a bit of a bastard, but he's had some bleeding good matches, and no mistake. Vote has to go to him. But Vader? C'mon, that's ridiculous. He's only been in way in the end of the 90's.

As far as World wide wrestler of the 90's there can be a case made for big Leon White. He did hold World titles all over the freakin' globe. But for the decade as a whole in the one promotion? He held the Triple Crown twice but that was in 1999. The facts speak for themselves. Vader was not the man for a ten year span in this promotion.

Has to be Misawa, Kawada may have been a better wrestler but Misawa WAS Mr All Japan in the 90's.
