There is talk that Keiji Mutoh is considering an exploding barbed wire death match between Atsushi Onita & Bob Sapp. WOW!!!.
Hulk Hogan arrived in Japan earlier today, and will compete at WRESTLE-1. This will be Hogan's first match in Japan since his 1/4/94 encounter with Tatsumi Fujinami at the Tokyo Dome, the building he will return to for W-1. Hogan's arrival was unannounced, but he will be placed in a big match on the show. The second piece of news is that Keiji Muto and Bill Goldberg will form a tag team at WRESTLE-1. Again, no opponents named (Hogan and Naoya Ogawa rumoured), but the announcement of big names should stir interest and sell some tickets for the struggling show. PRIDE's Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman will also be on the show, as they were the original. The two will face "two large giants", most likely Giant Silva & Giant Singh.
Less than two weeks left untill the show and the card is nowhere close to being finalized, plus Hogan might appear on it. No wonder no ones buying tickets for it.
Is this all some kind of sick joke Mutoh's playing on everybody? At least it's not technically an All-Japan show. On the bright side, any appearence by Goldberg on a Wrestle-1 show means one less appearence he'll make in All-Japan.
Puroresu Power reported that Mutoh met with HHH, Stephanie McMahon and Ric Flair and asked for advice on how to run future W-1 shows. That's hilarious. Hmm...I guess now Mutoh never puts anyone over.
I just Mutoh takes the WWE's advice properly... Listen to what they tell you, then do THE OPPOSITE!
I have been reading reports (since the first W-1) that Baba has been second-guessing her choice in Mutoh. If the business doesn't pick up, maybe she will turn to Tenryu...
Proud enough for you to call me arrogant
Greedy enough to be labeled a thief
Angry enough for me to go and hurt a man
Cruel enough for me to feel no grief...

While I haven't agreed with a lot of what Mutoh's done, I still think it's too early to fire him, especially since he's had a lot of injuries to work around. Still, the fact that he actually was asking Triple H and Stephanie McMahan for advice can't be a good sign. Besides, All-Japan should be his priority, not these stupid Wrestle-1 shows.
Maybe Muto learned his lesson and will stop his involvement is these money losing shows. Or at minimum get talent to agree to contracts before booking Tokyo Dome and having to give tickets away.
