The future of All Japan is these guys instead of Johnny Smith and Steve Williams. The decision making process in All Japan is like its being booked by Monkeys.

Agree with you about Smith and Williams. At Doc's age, he ain't the future of much of anything, and Smith seems intent on eating his way out of wrestling (although if he ever got back in shape he's still got potential).
Personally, I think Kojima and Kea are the near-future of Japan, along with guys like Kaz and Yang. I like Red a lot and think he has a lot of potential, but I haven't heard where he's signed a long-term deal with AJ.
Malice? While he's made a huge improvement since his WCW days, I've yet to see a Malice match and thought "Wow, I got to see more of this guy!"
PS: There's a similar thread (future of japan) under the General section.

Now I have seen only a few of the Amazing Red's matches, but he has true potential to move up the card. Malice on the other hand is like wrestling constipation, the match just needs Ex-Lax to get a good movement. Did not like him as the Wall, don't like him as Malice.
red is quite entertaining but All Japan is not where that style can really flourish. He should be tearing it up in Toryumon or Michinoku Pro with Jody Fleish. All Japan needs to "steal" the good guys with hard edge wrestling style like Doug Williams and Chad Collyer. Thats some quality with tradition built in.

I agree with Mantis on Red, he's a very flashy, high spotty guy, and would do well in MPro or Toryumon especially. Hmmm, Dragon Kid vs. Amazing Red, that could be hella interesting.
It's funny,
But I said if Red ever went to Japan, with the way he wrestles and his high flying style, he could be compared to Dragon kid, or Hayabusa. But I totally agree that Red should be in Toryumon or Michinoku Pro. Him Dragon Kid and Anthony Mori would make a truly dynamic trio.

I am a good fan of Red or Spriggan...he has great potential...I kinda think he would do a lot better in Michinoku Pro...Toryumon does not let many outsiders into their matches...the only ones they do let usually suck anyway...if their Gaijin...like Norman Smiley and Saturn and ooh goodness Disco Inferno...he would do pretty good in Toryumon but fits much better in MPro...by the way...Jody Fleish is an aweosme prospect...him and Red would tear it up...
Dragonm2k I just think you clicked subit post a few too many times...anywho I saw amazing Red's profile on the TNA website so Im guessing if its the same guy he's wrestled there a little, I thought he had a really cool name when I found his profile thats how I remembered him, I dunno much else about him though bnut Im guessing hes a perfect addition to their X Divison from what you guys are saying, does any one know where this guy is from???

The Amazing Red along with the other members of The Spanish Announce Team, Jose and Joel Maximo, are from somewhere in New York and have been very popular (Red particularly) on the east coast indy scene.
I've seen a lot of Red's matches and he is very exciting in that he has amazing and creative highspots. The first couple of times I saw him brought back seeing Rey Misterio Jr. for the first time. A couple of his signature moves include the Red Star Press (a standing shooting star press) and the Infrared (an insane top rope manuever that I couldn't even begin to describe, where he does about a thousand flips in the air).
He has a very unique look as well, being probably about Spike Dudley size with almost Carrot Top hair (hence the name), although I think he has lately been wearing it in corn rows.
The downside on Red at this point is just lack of experience and lack of size. I've never seen him exhibit much of a mat repetoire and he hasn't learned much about ring psychology yet. He blows a lot of spots, but that's pretty much inevitable when a guy attempts to perform the insane spots that he does. He also still looks like a boy rather than a man (he's either in his late teens or very early 20s), and it would be hard to take him seriously as a competitor.
Overall, I think he's a very exciting performer who could definitely catch on in a Toryumon or M-Pro type environent, but he's not ready for the big time yet.
Red was 18 when he started with TNA, so that means he's either 18 or 19 now, depending on when his birthday is. The people Jason mentioned, Red and the SATs, are indeed all from New York and were trained by Mikey Whipwreck. He is a small guy and really does look like a kid if you see him close up, but in addition to that he also has just about no charisma. He's only been wrestling for a short period of time, and with the spotfest style he works, obviously he's going to blow a lot of spots. It's just part of the territory. His biggest problem(at least as far as work in the states goes) is that he has no charisma and is dead in the water in front of a microphone. They paired him with Alexis Laree last week (quite the looker and the talker for those of you not familiar with her) and she stays with him he may have some good things ahead of him. But I'll tell ya, if female gaijins ever take off in the joshi world they're going to be all over Alexis. Holy cow.
