I'm kinda intrigued by the angle All Japan is running with both Kawada and Kojima challenging Hashimoto for the TC and how it's going to play out. So, for the enjoyment (or maybe not) of all I'm going to play it out.
1. Hashimoto has already said he wants to defend against Kawada since he is more proven than Kojima. Fine with me. Kawada brings the TC back to All Japan as the returning hero who brings honor back to All Japan.
2. Kojima challenges Kawada, but Kawada says that Koji doesn't deserve a shot at the greatest prize in pro wrestling until he proves he can defeat someone of the highest caliber. Kawada instead says he'd like to fight Mutoh for the TC. Kawada wins.
3. Kojima makes an open challenge to Goldberg (who I think still owes All Japan 3 dates) to come back and give him a rematch. Goldberg wins, but Kojima gets in a lot more offense than he did in their previous match. After the match Kawada renews his conviction that he will not give Kojima a TC match until he proves he is worthy.
4. Kawada defends against the returning Taiyo Kea who he says deserves a shot because he was able to defeat Tenryu. Kawada wins.
5. Kojima challenges Tenryu in a rematch from their classic TC match last year. Kojima pulls out an emotional win in a grueling match with Kawada watching at ringside. Kawada gets in the ring after the match to stare down Kojima.
And there you have the makings of a new great rivalry in All Japan.
What about having Kawada defeat Kojima in a number one contender's match to get the shot at Hashimoto? That would be a great start to the feud before either of them even fights Hashimoto.
I have seen the face of Satan, and his name is Bill Apter.

That would be cool too.
I just like the idea of their showdown being for the highest stakes so it's kind of a passing of the torch.
