What next for the Triple Crown?

With Hashimoto out with a serious injury, it looks like the payoff to the Zero-One feud with Kawada (or Mutoh more likely since he's so many great matches this year ) bringing the TC back to AJ isn't going to happen. If Hash is really going to be out for a while I would assume he'd vacate the title. This will further discredit what was once quite possibly the most prestigious title in all of wrestling and has become pretty much a joke.

So, assuming Hash vacates the title, what's next for the TC? My guess is a match between Mutoh and Kawada since they were battling for the number one contender spot anyway. I don't think a tournament would be good since Mutoh and Kawada are the only guys with the credibility to win it anyway, since Kojima jobbed to Hash. Man, I miss Baba.

Just a slightly off-topic respond but what would Baba do if he was still alive and running All-Japan and the whole NOAH thing happen anyway? AJPW is in some trouble since the top 4 TC guys being: Kawada, Mutoh, Kojima, and Kea (INJ).

Well, I don't think the NOAH thing would have happened if Baba was alive, but if it did we could count on the elevation of younger talent as well as more interesting feuds rather than just throwing things together for the heck of it approach that Mutoh seems to be going with. We certainly wouldn't have the TC on the waist of a non-AJ wrestler who doesn't have much drawing power anymore and is now unable to at least put someone on the AJ roster over in exchange.

I think pushing younger talent is the best thing for All Japan right now, come to think of it, thats the only choice they have at the moment. It appears that they are going to die out like WCW did.

Seriously, they need new stars... They should give Kawada the title or have him win it and keep the title for a little while before losing to Kojima. I'd love to see a Kojima - Kea feud for the TC !!!
