It has now been confirmed by NIKKAN SPORTS that Gigantes, also known as The Wall in WCW and Malice in NWA-TNA was found dead in his hotel room by La Parka and NOSAWA ) Parka Guerrea after they all went out to dinner. They (La Parka & NOSAWA) had just finished packing their bags for their return trip home to Mexico and went to say goodbye. This is when they found his lifeless body in his room. He suffered from cardiac arrest. He was 36 years old.
He was deffinatly not the best worker,or even one of the best gaijin workers, but this is still such a great loss. ANOTHER one has died. His family will not be spending the holiday season with him,...he won't celibrate another birthday,...*IF* he was married, he won't have another anniversary,...if he has children, he won't get to see them grow up...and they won't get to see him again.
At the age of thirty-six and suffering a heart-attack, it makes you wonder if steroids were involved/a cause.
A lot TR, a lot TR, RIP Gigantes, join the legion of wrestlers who have died of possible steroid complications, g-o-d when will it stop???
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
Truly, this has been the worst year for wrestling due to the high count in losses we've taken. It seems as though the past of quite few workers have caught up to them, no thanks to the constant pressure of a hectic schedule and what comes with it. For those who have been on the road and still do do can relate to what I'm saying, so there's no need to elaborate any further. In the case of Jerry Tuite, it reminded of David von Erich all over again. On the one hand we can say that they both left us too soon, but on the other, well, it's in a whole different set of hands. Belatedly, I send my condolences out to the Tuite family. He'll definitely be missed...
