    Muta

has Muta won every title in Japan? I know he was the NWA world champion in the past. He must be the only person to hold the NWA world's title, IWGP title and the Triple Crown.
has anybody come close to joining him in that select group?maybe hasimoto or chono.

He is the only one, but don't ignore Vader with his collection of IWGP, TC and WCW gold plus CWA (europe) and UWA gold as well, then the old UWFi title.

I liked him before 1998, but he has grown to be an overweight, injury-prone and a man with a laaaaaaaaarge ego. He held the title long after he was unable to wrestle, what I meant is that his reign is a forgettable one.

Hashimoto holding the TC isn't that bad. It could have been stuck on Arashi's belly!

Muta should have dropped to Kojima or continued till Kawada came back instead of dropping it to Hashimoto.

I'll probably get heat for this but Hashimoto did give the title some honor.

I agree, Hashimoto was a great fighter. He held the IWGP title while Kobashi/Kawada/Misawa fought for the TC...

Hashimoto isn't what he used to be, but he's still a big name and was a pretty good alternative for holding the TC. Sure, in a perfect world, Kawada wouldn't have been injured, or Kea either, so these 2 could have been feuding for the title... But Mutoh did start a nice feud between Z1 and AJ...

with Kawada & Kea hurt, it was not a bad idea to have Hash win the TC. I am looking forward to Kojima/Kawada/Kea fighting over the belt of course with some Muta involvement.
