    Kawada Interview

Strong Style Spirit (thanks 3-) posted part of Kawada's interview with Weekly Gong and Weekly Pro Magazine which Kawada gave his thoughts about NOAH's Tokyo Dome show, and about working for NOAH

WG: What do you think about Taiyo Kea & Keiji Muto working on NOAH’s Tokyo Dome show on 7/10?
Dangerous K: Well, they are free to do whatever they want to do.
WG: What do you think about Muto & Yoshinari Ogawa meeting each other for the first time?
Dangerous K: I want to see how those two can work together, it should be interesting.
WG: Would you like to challenge for the GHC Heavyweight Title in the future?
Dangerous K: It isn’t in my plans right now, but who knows the future.
WP: How big is the role of the fans playing in the decision by Muto to work with Misawa?
Dangerous K: The fans of NOAH really want to see Muto & myself work for their promotion and Muto was the first one to do it.
WP: Did you receive an offer to work the Tokyo Dome show?
Dangerous K: Yes I did, but I was undecided about working it and before I could make my decision, Muto took his offer, which made my decision to not work it easier.>>

Kawada in NOAH? I'd love it.

    SSS is at www.puroresufan.com

The report itself should probably be credited to KrisZ, whom posts news on the SSS forum, the DVDR forum and HWL forums.

As for Kawada on Misawa... We all know they are going to meet up again, and that Kawada will most likely make a NOAH appearance before his career is done.

I'd like to see if K would shoot on Misawa if they ever worked together again...

Luds, I normally agree with you, but in this case I disagree. Shooting on Misawa would do Dangerous K more harm than good at this point in his career.
1st) Misawa and Mutoh are pals, K fired, then where does he go? New Japan to be eaten alive by Inoki's shooters?
2ND) It would further the damage that the shooter in PRIDE and K1 have caused to puroesu.
3RD)It wuould damage NOAH at the gate since their main figure was exposed. It did not happen to Choshu when he was shot on, but this is a different period.

I know Dan, I was sarcastic as I'm sure that's what he'd like to do, but obviously wouldn't.

That would still sell out the Dome though

I also believe Kawada will go to NOAH before he hangs up the yellow shinguards for good. I also believe there will be a near riot when Misawa steps into an All Japan ring in more than 4-5 years.

Gee, this MAY be the understatement of the year, but I don't think Kawada likes Muto very much....

    Can you blame him?

Cut in pay, less of an audience, disrespect the style and the title, and promotoming his boys over those that are over and can work.

    i agree totally.

Kawada deserves better. If they want to push Kea, that's one thing, as he has been around forever. But guys like Johnny Smith got pushed out the door, for D Lo Brown? Jamal? B2???

Muta's a bit full of himself. People wanna see him and Misawa like we wanted to see Rock and Hogan. It's good for nostalgia, but not even Misawa can pull a decent match out of him that doesn't involve 4-5 shining wizards. I'm more interested in Misawa v Kawada and Kobashi vs Kojima.

Muta needs to build young lions as opposed to picking up America's leftovers.

Amen jayt11. I'm sort of tired of RO&D or as I call them "We Used To Be In The WWE".

I also heard that All Japan and New Japan are going to do some joint shows. And RO&D has alligned with Liger's CTU.

my whole beef with Muta is a result of the 7/10 tag match against Ogawa and Misawa.

Misawa gave Kea LOTS of offense on him, and got him over(you heard the crowd oooh and ahh at the fact that the non-ACE was taking it to Misawa).

In return, Ogawa got ZERO offense on Muta. I'm sure Misawa noticed, cause near the end of the match, he was motioning Ogawa to get some hits on Muta. Muta was in America too long, and was wrestling that "i gotta protect my rep" style.

The biggest front was after Kea took 2 EF's, Muta just walked out without checking on him. Let's forget the fact that Muta was supposedly grooming Kea to be the ace...i can't tell.

Bottom line: He's a prick, and I know how much Kawada loves All Japan, but I say he pulls a Kobashi and walks with the belts. I think the bad blood with him and Misawa is about gone, and the 4 Lords of Heaven +1(Akiyama) isn't the same without him. As far as booking philosophy go, he and Misawa see eye to eye anyway.

IF kawada walked away from all japan and took the triple crown with him, All Japan would die. Not that i want that to happen but it may be better for pro wrestling in the long run... i am sure that if kawada came to misawa with the triple crown and asked for acceptance, misawa wouldn't turn away. If Noah had the triple crown and kawada, new japan would have to look out because noah would probably take over the japanese wrestling world.
