    8. Keiji Muto beat Satoshi Kojima (19:17) with the Shining Wizard.
    9. Triple Crown: Toshiaki Kawada (c) beat Osamu Nishimura (27:12) with a running face kick (7th defense).

    Report on match:
Osamu Nishimura's first ever challenge for the famous Triple Crown took place today on All Japan's "SUMMER IMPACT 2004" tour climax. It was a Nishimura that New Japan hasn't seen before, but may from now on, one who has a real mean streak. Before the match, RO&D attacked Kawada, and Nishimura (wearing no ring boots) capitalized by using submissions to wear down the champion. Surprisingly, many fans supported Nishimura, and when he was trapped in a sleeper hold, a "Nishimura" call broke out. The two traded much offense late on, the match very close. In the end, though, Kawada hit a powerbomb, brainbuster, and running face kick for the successful V7 defense in close to half an hour. Kawada had nothing but praise for Nishimura backstage, overwhelmed by the experience of facing such a unique opponent. Nishimura said a new form of Muga had been born today, and he realized many things. Now, he will assess his future and decide what to do (he said, "Tomorrow is a mystery"). Tomorrow, he faces another tough opponent back home in New Japan, Nagata.

I was thinking the same thing...

Muto really needs to get a clue. Koshinaka over Honma? Honma just came off a good match with Yano. Kojima just recently had an awesome match with Misawa. Now these two Up and Comers lose to Past Their Primes. And Araya's team losing to WWE Japan. Jamal getting a win... Muto really needs to take a step outside and get a fresh set of eyes to view All Japan's future and preserve its great legacy.

Nishimura wrestled barefoot and after the match Kawada praised Nishimura as one of the best wrestlers he has ever faced and that the wrestling world is lucky to have Nishimura grace it’s presence. Nishimura said a new version of Muga has been born and he doesn’t know what the future holds, but today was a history making day. There was a problem after the match as the All-Japan officials couldn’t find the Triple Crown and rumor is that Taiyo Kea stole the title.

I heard Junji "Shhhhh No Knows I am In The Makai Club" Hirata saved Arashi from a RO&D beatdown.

Why don't Hiratta just leave the Makai Club and become the man of Justice he is?

Taiyo Kea showed off the Triple Crown at Narita Airport in Tokyo today as he was headed out on his flight to Honolulu, Hawaii and told All-Japan that he would not return the TC until Toshiaki Kawada granted him a shot. Kea said that he has spent almost 10 years with All-Japan and has only received one shot at the TC and that was on 3/3/01 in Yokohama against Genichiro Tenryu and Kea said that he has been disrespected recently.

I've always been pulling for Kea. Big fan of his work since I saw him in MLW. One question... when did Kea steal the Triple Crown?

Nevermind, I read over at PuroPower that Kea stole the titles before the title presentation & took them to Hawaii with him.

I don't have a big problem with Kishinaka & Mutoh winning, my beef is with having Buchanan & D-Lo Brown & Jamal on the card

Agreed on RO&D. They remind me of the nWo black (the b-team).

I heard Muto used 5 shining wizards to keep Kojima down. Which makes it a little better; it shows Kojima fighting hard. But something's just not there yet. Maybe he needs to have a trial series. Names like Kawada, Muto, Kea, Arashi, Araya, Honma or Johnny Smith, and an outside wrestler from AJ or NOAH. Its been too long since AJ had a series anyway.

(btw- what is the Samurai Driver '84?)
