Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan
1. Keiji Muto vs. GREAT MUTA
2. Elimination Match:Kensuke Sasaki, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Genichiro Tenryu, & KENSHIN vs. Taiyo Kea, TAKA Michinoku, D'Lo Brown, & Buchanan
3. Triple Crown:Toshiaki Kawada(c) vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan(NJ)
More matches expected to be announced soon. It's still a good looking card so far. I think it is safe to say that All Japan is finally going in a very good direction. It has been a great year for them and hopefully it will continue.

This GREAT MUTA was brought in witk the Love Machines. I'm not sure who is playing him though. As far as I know, it will be Mutoh vs. MUTA. That sounds more interesting in my opinion. I don't think Muta vs. Muta would be a horrible idea. I just think most fans want to see Mutoh vs. his alter ego.

ZACH says it is MUTA USA, so that's what I'm going with. He isn't a bad worker though, so it should be a lot of fun. Look at the bright side - it's not The Great Love Machine Muta. At least, not yet.
How wild would it be if Muta, or whoever it ends up being, comes out with The Great Kabuki and Mutoh totally flipped out? There is no better heat up angle for a rematch than "I stole your kayfabe Dad" or "he's my momma's babydaddy now."
Kabuki did come out with GREAT MUTA at the 10/02 NJ Tokyo Dome. Maybe he'll be in his(if it is the same guy) corner this time. Not sure Mutoh would care, but if he was Muta, it'd be hilarious to see the completely whacked out reaction he would have to his "Daddy" turning on him. No doubt, this will be an interesting match up in an "entertainment" way and probably not so much in a "classic wrestling match" way. No more matches announced, but I will put them up as soon as they come out. Kawada/Tenzan sure does look good though.

I don't that Mutoh can have too many more classic wrestling matches from a wrestling standpoint still left in him. I don't know how guys like him and Terry Funk even walk, let alone wrestle.
This match certainly has "entertainment" written all over it. And with Mutoh vs. MUTA, it really can't be any other way. It would likewise be priceless if Great Kabuki comes out with MUTA, sees Mutoh, gets confused and can't figure out which one is his kid. If it was Hustle, the match would probably be stopped while genetic analysis is done on the blood of both guys so Kabuki knows which corner he's supposed to be in. In DDT once the results are in Kabuki would turn on both of them in favor of his bastard child - The Great Ladder. TGL would of course get the fall in the impromtu tag match. Certainly not Oudou by any stretch of the imagination, but it would sell me on the DVD.
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
According to Kris at worldwidewrestling@puroresufan.com , the Love Machines' GREAT MUTA is being played by Troy Enders. If anyone knows who that is, please post a reply.

Thanks. Also, if anyone has a pic of this guy, please post it. I saw one in the SSS forum, but he was wearing the Muta entrance gear with a hood and a ring jacket. I will try to post it later.

"Johnny Stamboli, who was among the performers released by World Wrestling Entertainment a few weeks back in cost cutting measures, debuted today for All Japan Pro Wrestling as the new masked version of the Great Muta.
Stamboli, wrestling as Muta, teamed with Love Machine Steele against Keiji Muto (the original Muta) and Osamu Nishimura as part of the promotion's Real World Tag League tournament. Stamboli had teamed with Nunzio as part of the Full Blooded Italians while working for WWE."
Stamboli? Not a big fan of his work. He's not bad, but I've only seen him in WCW & WWE and haven't seen much. I'm sure he's got talent, after all, guys like Jerry Lynn didn't show much in the big 2 but had tons of talent...
