Sugiura joined the All Japan dojo in June and got MAJOR press for doing so (just as Suwama did in March of 2004). Sugiura stated that instead of joining PRIDE, NOAH, or New Japan, he decided to join All Japan due to how homely the atmosphere was. he also has history with Kohei Suwama, who defeated him in the Semi Final's of the Japanese National Championship. Issei will make his debut on 1/3 going under the moniker, "Brute Issei", due to his overwhelming size, and is a tribute to bigger stars such as Giant Baba, and Jumbo Tsuruta. Sugiura is a huge prospect that will do lots of things in All Japan when he debuts.
