As you all know, Kojima, Dr. Death and Keiji Mutoh and working at that Atlantic City show on the 22nd. The best part is, there are free tickets being given away for the show. I just got off the phone to confirm that my tickets are on the way. This show is going to be on Pay Per View. If we all band together we could make sure those 3 are the only guys over on the whole card. Here's the link to the ticket giveaway http://www.1wrestling.com/columns/ch...articleid=7393
Just imagine the look on the promoter's face when he's surrounded by people who actually know what King's Road is. I'm telling you, it will be beautiful.
Actually Im surprised, this event is getting radio advertisment on at least one station that I know of. 100.7 is also giving away free tickets, but I just don't have it in me to streak up rte. 9
Man, when I heard about this show I just freaked out... Seeing Mutoh live in the states? Dear *** I'll never have this chance again! But I'm not available that week end as this is a huge Holliday week end in Quebec (St-Jean Baptiste on the 24th) I can just pray that Mutoh comes back for another show...
Well Luds, if I were you I'd change your plans. Not only is this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Mutoh in the states, but he's also supposed to debut his "new Muta" gimmick at the show. I'm staying at a Comfort Inn for $60/night, so you really can't beat it. I mean, Atlantic City...and Mutoh...it just doesn't get much better.
Well I think that I may miss a once in a lifetime chance to see him in the states, but I've always planned (seriously) to go to Japan for a week or two in a couple of years. And one of the things I want to do there is to see Mutoh...
I don't know how much the tickets were(I picked up on the free ones but I remember seeing on the promotion's site that they were surprisingly cheap considering some of the names on the show, I think they said ringside seats were only about 30 bucks, which is really reasonable for a 13 match card, at least to me.
To Luds, if you ever decide to go to Japan and want someone to split hotel costs let me know. When I finally do make the trek to Japan I plan to see every show in the Tokyo area, and will need every last yen to buy all those tickets
Sorry Das, you'll probably need their website too. It's at www.IWSwrestling.net As far as I know this is their first show, however the last time I was there they had some guy ranting about being the IWS International Champion for 6 years(what kind of company has both an International and World Title?) and they also recognize Mutoh as the Hardcore Champion. I'm sure there are still ticets left, and I would strongly urge you to go. Not only does it help encourage companies to put on shows(and bring in top notch Japanese talent) when we go to see them, but it encourages other people to put on a good product, which is something we need in the states. Besides, you know you'll regret it later if you don't go see Kojima, Dr. Death and Mutoh. I know I would.
I was tempted, but I really dont want to see Tatanka in the same ring as Kojima. I've been to Japan many times and I've actually been to two Tokyo Dome shows; I saw Muto vs Takada and Sasaki vs Muto live.
Chris Chavis (aka Tatanka) has actually improved a lot since his WWF days, and was recently given the opportunity to work that 250-300 days/year schedule again but turned it down. He's a lot better than he was in his first run with the WWF, and it could wind up being the sleeper on the show.
Attention: Anyone who wants to go see Mutoh for free.
The friend I was going to take to the show with me can't make it so I have an extra ticket I won't be using. Anyone from the forum who wants to go and doesn't have tickets let me know ASAP. The section on the ticket is marked "Vir Ave"(I would assume one side of the stadium since it is in a baseball stadium) row J, which by my count makes them pretty good seats. I'm going to be leaving tommorow morning for Atlantic City, so let me know quickly if you want to go for free. If you read it after today(Wednesdy) and would still want to go I'll be staying at the Comfort Inn in Atlantic City with the reservation under Florek. Anyone else going to the show and wants to stop by and say hi feel free to do so. It's always a good time to meet a fellow puro mark
