Hayabusa to start a new promotion (2002/07/01)

Hayabusa (Eiji Ezaki) will start a new promotion called "Wrestling Marvelous of the Future" (W.M.F.). If things go fine, the opening card will be held on August 28th. The top wrestler will be Mr. Gannosuke, who is Hayabusa's former classmate from college, and Hayabusa's role will be the commissioner.

Hey that's pretty big news. I was always thinking Hayabusa would have just stayed as a wrestler. I guess he'll be walking by August then. Last I heard he was rehabbing. Did anyone know if Liger and Hayabusa reconciled when "The bird that never dies" got injured?

I think this would be a good time to make predictions on who you think would join WMF.

Since he was in the ring when Hayabusa was injured, Mammoth Sasaki will join his new promotion.

    i am happy

I missed Hayabusa so much, and I actually cried the first time I saw his accident.

It can only be a good thing for there to be more Feds out there. I only wish that we had some more new feds out there in the states.

I think that Kanemura will definitely be there, and maybe Tanaka, if only for one night...

    Good for Hayabusa

His in-ring injury was pretty gross, I wish him all the luck in his new fed and I hope he gets to walk well again and even wrestle! Hey miracles happen

i'm just glad to hear Hayabusa is still part of wrestling although it may not be physical, it's still great.

on a side note, how do you think the DYNAMITE! event (PRIDE vs K-1) would effect this show since it's being ran on August 28th also?

    Unhappy

Does Hayabusa plan to wrestle let alone walk ever again?

I don't know. It would take a lot of confidence and bravery for him to get back in that ring and start wrestling like he always did.
He might not even be able to walk properly. Only time will tell if poor Eiji will rise the Pheonix again. His name does mean the bird that never dies and sure isnt dying anytime soon.

ok you Ive gone over this before a Phoenix is not Immortal. The Legend of the Phoenix states that one Phoenix will live on earth until it feels it cant live properly anymore, then the Phoenix sets itself on fire to kill itself. Then out of the ashes a new Phoenix would be born. He lives until he cant live comfortably and sets itself on fire and it just keeps going like that. And there always was just 1 alive at a time
So by no means is a phoenix immortal

Does that mean Hayabusa is gonna set himself on fire and hope a new one will come along?

I thought Haybusa translated to Pergeine Flacon and not phoenix. Look, I hope the man does walk again and hope he never wrestles again. Even if he can somehow wrestle again, he will never be the same in the ring and most fans would resent him for that. I too hope the man has reconciled with Lyger and want everyone to think of him and realize he has bigger issues tha wrestling again.
