After Onita left, Hayabusa CARRIED the WHOLE PROMOTION.

    'nuff said.

If you look at it objectively, I don't see how you could vote for anyone other than Onita. Nobody drew the kind of crowds he did in the early 90s. Anybody who draws 50,000 fans to an indy show has my vote, hands down.

After Onita bailed out in 95 Hayabusa single handedly carried the promotion for another 6 years himself. so my vote goes for hayabusa

Well Scott, if you want to watch Japanese wrestling the only to do so is to either buy or trade tapes. It isn't carried on any networks that I know about. If there are any Japanese food stores in your area they may get some videos from Japan, but they probably won't have everything you would want to see. I would recommend buying or trading tapes. The FMW Tokyopop DVDs are pretty reasonably priced, although be forwarned, the commentary is horrible on all of them, the early ones have horrible made up gimmicks for the workers(i.e. Mike Awesome has been training on an unknown island with some ancient martial arts master for 300 years and stayed young by eating some kind of fruit). The first 4 had the original Japanese commentary though, and I highly recommend them for that. The Torn to Shreds disc is also really good for Joshi action. If you want any other recommendation or want to trade tapes go ahead and email me.

I will have to agree with most of the ppl on here, that Hayabusa did carry the whole promotion for the last 6 years but also IMO Masato Tanaka did lots for FMW as well, he was only a rookie when Onita left and really started to make his mark in the last few years of FMW's existance, but if FMW had stayed strong for a little longer I think Tanaka would have taken over for Hayabusa as the torchbearer for FMW, had he not chose to go to ZERO-ONE.....

Tanaka I choose. Cause he had lots of success in FMW, ECW, and Zero-One. And he is awesome as hell.
You love me, you love me not, but you definately respect me!!!!

I say Hayabusa, for all the previous reasons, and because he sacrificed his body on every match...just like Onita...
I can smell it, I can hear it... Its triple H!!! he just won the world title on a fluke! (again)

I didnt get a chance to vote but i would say Onita, i agree that if someone can sell out Kawasaki Stadium (50,000) and even sell another 5,000 you are without a doubt the best. True Hayabusa did carry the promotion after he left but he did have help from Tanaka and Gannosuke i think.
