    RVD in FMW

Hey, what matches did Van Dam wrestle in FMW? Against who, and when?

And before I get slaughtered, yes, I DO like RVD!

I don't know who he faced or anything but I do know RVD was in FMW because of ECW exchanging wrestlers with FMW.

and I like RVD as well
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...

RVD wasn't a very big part of the FMW/ECW partnership and had only two really notable matches. Both were tags and can be seen on the FMW Over The Top Tournament tape. The tape covers two shows and has other ECW stars on it also. The events took place on 12/12 and 12/13/98. One match was RVD/Sabu vs Tommy Dreamer/Hayabusa and the other was Sabu/RVD vs The Dudley Boys.

besides whats on the tape released by Tokyo Pop,I can remember seeing Shane Douglas take on,I believe Hido, and the Dudley's take on Gedo and Jado.I cannot say for certain as this was some 5 years ago,I was watching it while I was pretty good and drunk at a christmas party and I didn't set a tape at home.Nowhere have I ever seen a Van Dam match in any of this,I wish I would have.He did have a great match at heatwave 98'teaming with Sabu vs. Hyabusa and Shinzaki.

Jado/Gedo vs The Dudley's is from the FMW vs ECW vs Zen commercial tape. It featured matches from ECW's first tour with FMW in December of 97, none of which Van Dam took part in.

Tokyopop went and screwed everything up (as usual) and decided to release matches involving ECW stars in FMW from several different shows between 97 and 99.

The Shane Douglas match you're talking about is Shane Douglas vs Gedo from "FMW Over The Top" from 98. I thought it was a really good contest and Gedo held his own considering he's primarily a tag wrestler.

If you're looking to see Van Dam in FMW, Over The Top is really the only way to go.

Man,I really would like to show my buddies some of the FMW tapes but the anouncing is so bad it actually does make me cringe. The only one I ever brought over for a viewing was one of the last tapes were Kanemura is,for who know's what reason, standing on a rooftop in what appears to be a diaper saying stuff to the point of (Balls)"Mahoney!I am going to kill you!!!",this was exceedingly funny to us as one of our gang has the last name of Mahoney, and is somewhat pudgy.....we kept on rewinding this scene maybe 10-12 times,my friend Mahoney was not amused.
