I was just checking some results and i was happy to see Mr. Gannosuke worked a deathmatch in the main event for Onita Pro. It would be great if WMF and Onita Pro merged together and then merged with WEW and then FMW would be pretty much back.
Without Fuyiki, WEW will probably be down or maybe they will go to the Chocoball Mukai's WWAV/AWV (for those who didn't know it's a fed when you see females and males "wrestlers" make hmmm things...)
Hayabusa and Onita don't really like each others but they respect each others. They will just made interpromotionnal shows.
I think when WEW will be down, the wrestlers will go to WMF or Onita-Pro or another fed.
I search any informations (olds or news) in Wrestling in France or Europe.
Onita Pro isn't a full time fed so I don't see any mergers taking place soon. Onita only runs shows occassionally with the most recent one being a benefit show in honor of the incredibly ill Sambo Asako.
WEW isn't going anywhere soon I don't think. Even without Fuyuki they're still doing good business at Korakuen which is all FMW really needed to survive so they shouldn't have a problem there. The promotions popularity seems to be on the rise and with heavy interpromotional involvement I don't see fans going anywhere.
I think WMF is the only post FMW promotion that is going somewhere. Gannosuke, Mammoth, Young Garuda, Soldier and Onryo and GOEMON are all gonna make WMF work. If Hayabusa ever makes a ring return which i doubt it and by the time he did WMF would be under but if WMF is still around and Hayabusa returns the fans will flock around WMF.
I have every WMF show that has been televised and watching Hayabusa's improving state is really amazing. At the WMF debut last August he was able to stand up with the aid of a cane. At the 12/12/02 WMF show he took a few steps into the crowd (with the aid of crutches)which was truly a site to see. Then on the 4/11/03 show he stood up almost effortlessly so his condition is improving through some heavy rehabing but his ring return is still quite far off.
"Last i heard of him was that he took a bump out of his wheelchair on a wmf show which i think is insane."
This wasn't on a show it was outside for television camera's and press to see it to help hype a match. It was a planned stunt and I'm sure Hayabusa knew what he was getting into when he did it. It was never televised on any WMF programming.
WMF is a great league. However, they lack in some areas and need to improve. The main area being match making. They need fresh feuds as half their roster has faced off against one another so many times in the last 5 years. The WMF 4/11 Korakuen attendance was really down from the previous show they held their on 12/12/02. So fan interest might be falling a bit. Hopefully WMF can hang in there and continue the FMW legacy.
When you say New Blood do you mean New Talent? Because they have Garuda, Soldier, Ikeda and Onryo. WMF is just like another Lucharesu promotion but i think it should go garbage.
Going garbage would probably be a last ditch effort at this point. Let's face it, the day of the deathmatch has long since passed. There isn't any money in it anymore, outside of a promotion like Big Japan maybe striking it lucky here and there and doing a good house. There is still an audience for it but a much smaller one than there was 6 or 7 years ago. It would be a real risk for WMF to suddenly change to a style that hasn't drawn very much in recent years.
As far as talent, yeah they definitely need some help. They've got skilled workers but their roster is small in number and many of them are very young and unestablished. The problem is that WMF can't afford to bring in lots of big name guys to put talent over. Or if they do get a bigger star to come in that star isn't going to job to a "small time" WMF wrestler. It's all politics.
What they need is to cross promote with a larger league. That's how WEW has managed to stay afloat. (though, now they aren't looking too stable) They began to feud with Zero-One and it drew good numbers for them. Then they sent wrestlers into Zero-One (Kanemura and Kuroda are regulars there now) to get more fans interested in their stars. That's all WMF has to do, reach out to another league and cross promote with them. That will expose their stars to new fans and hopefully draw bigger numbers for WMF shows.
I think WMF should exchange talent with Michinoku Pro, Kaintei Dojo and Osaka. I know they are already involved in some deal with Mpro but they should do it properly. If Hayabusa manages to return and can do what he used to WMF would be great. P3erhaps another Hayabusa Vs Sasuke.
What are the titles that Mr. Ganosuke has/have had? I know that he has held the IWA Japan tag title with Tarzan Goto, and the FMW double crown title. Can someone help me out? Thanks
