    Yesterday (5-16-04) and Hayabusa News

    Taken from BAHUFMW.com (thanks Bahu)

Before I begin with the piece from ym journal, Hayabusa will be singing Karaoke for his Project Hayabusa's event on June 11 in Sapporo. GOEMON will also be at the event. Now on to the below:

Taken from my Journal and BAHUFMW.com

"I woke up today getting ready for church as usual. The only thing on my mind was the man above really, that and if Andy Kaufman faked his death. But it didn't hit me till last night as I was playing NBA 2K2 that today was actually an anniversary of sorts.

You see today was the 2 year anniversary of Shoichi Arai's suicide.

I had to pause and give a moment of silence to a man who, along with Kodo Fuyuki, tried to make FMW more of the WWE style. I went online and checked out what was up if anything. I found this and some other things I never knew about Arai and FMW:

"Today marks two years of the death of former FMW President and Owner Shoichi Arai. Arai who commented suicide in the early morning of May 16, 2002 in a Tokyo Park had been in hiding from the Mafia since he declared FMW bankrupt on February 15, 2002. Arai kept FMW going with the backings of the Mafia, but with Hayabusa paralyzed and had just finished fighting for his life for two months in the hospital let alone returning to the ring anytime soon for FMW, Mr. Gannosuke being out for 6 months due to a broken leg, 2 million dollars in debt and the Mafia looking to kill him. Arai decided the only thing he could do was give FMW up and declare for bankruptcy, officially ending the promotion. Arai remained depressed throughout the last 3 months of his life, as his wife had recently divorced him, and had taken his children with her, and he was ashamed that was unable to pay for Hayabusa's hospital bills.

Arai decided to write a tell all book, discussing everything that he dealt with when it came to FMW. From Megumi Kudo's hard behavior towards young FMW Joshi wrestlers, Crusher Maedomari being a lesbian, and Atsushi Onita being a sex addict who slept around with hundreds of women while on top of FMW in the early 90's. At the end of the book, it becomes very clear that Arai did not plan on being alive very much longer, and not planning on being alive when the book is released. Arai talked with Hayabusa days before his death, telling Hayabusa about his plan suicide, stating that he had life insurance and that if he were to die, his ex wife and children would given a very good sum of money. Hayabusa pleaded for Arai not to end his life, and felt by the end of the conversation, that he had changed Arai's mind on the situation. Sadly, Hayabusa was wrong, and Shoichi Arai woke up in the early morning and went to a Tokyo Park in his traditional business suit, and hung himself with his own neck tie. Arai was 36 years old at the time of his death. Although Arai held a close relationship with Hayabusa and Kodo Fuyuki, many of the FMW wrestlers did not like him, Masato Tanaka left FMW in 2001 when given the opportunity because of his personal dislike for Arai and how he was handling the promotion, although Tanaka and many other FMW wrestlers would still attend Arai's funeral out of respect. Hisakatsu Oya stated that the only time has laughed since FMW went under is when he found out about Arai's death."

To this day I still could not believe how many people hated Arai, but Hayabusa and Fuyuki treated him like a brother (or did they?) I also did not know that the mafia were still running FMW, that was a shock. Oh well, the next I holla at you will be soon. one love, K.B."

If it was sappy, I apologize. Hisa if it was too long for your taste edit it by all means. But I do want all thoughts kept to this post.

I won't close this thread but don't want any discussion on these topics either.

Besides, sexual preference of those in the sport is prohibited. Discussion on the mafia can be dangerous as well (not that this forum is THAT famous, but I still have family in Japan, you know...).

Any more threads on this topic will be deleted.

    Thanks.
