Atsushi Onita stated yesterday that he wants to meet with K-1 Director Sadaharu Tanigawa sometime soon about a possible Exploding Ring Death Match against Akebono on a future show. Onita said that he has retired from pro wrestling, but hasn’t retired from working MMA shows.

If #3 happens that would easily be the greatest shootfight in the history of MMA. I don't know how it could ever get sanctioned anywhere, but that hardly seems important. When it's all said and done Onita will prove, hopefully moreso than Sasaki did against Fujita, that pro wrestlers be strongest!
