I was pretty shocked upon hearing of FMW closing shop, although perhaps I shouldn't be, since business is down in Japan and especially for a promotion like FMW. We should all, in my opinion, regard the memories highly, for puroresu has lost a colourful facette of itself. I know, garbage puroresu ain't dead, but like ECW, FMW put it somewhat in a better, more watchable way than hardcore freaks like Big Japan or CZW stateswise.

I guess since great athletes like Atsushi Onita, Hayabusa, Masato Tanaka and The Gladiator all participated in it, FMW truly enriched wrestling in general. It was the original precursor to ECW. I say, even those who think that garbage wrestling sucks should take a second and bow once in appreciation of the memory of FMW.
it was a sad day when I read about it, unfortunately i think it was inevitable with the direction it was taking over the past few years, especially with there top star out of the picture. R.i.p. FMW
Its too bad they are closing, they were one of the best promotions of their type and time. I m sure gonna miss watching the great matches they put on time and time again.
