Am I the only one excited that FMW will be coming back, and that it isn't just a delusion? I was always an FMW mark and seeing them come back will be great. Onita always seems to have a way to do something over the top on his big shows, any ideas what he might have planned this time?
Of course your not the only one pumped to finally see FMW REALLY back in action, although it hasnt been too long (for some people!). I just have some things im not sure about; who's going to be wrestling in FMW? I know about the Onita Pro guys, but are there going to be former FMW wrestlers as well, or are they going to stay with Fuyuki's soon to be WEW? Also, is Onita still going to run Onita Pro, or is he closeing shop on that? And of course, what's the latest on Hayabusa, ian is he thinking about possibly making a return to wrestling at all?
Who are they gonna have for their top faces and heels, because Hayabusa as we all know is just walking and Masato Tanaka I think someone said he's in NJ or AJ so unless they can get the Dangan back, theyll have find some new superstars to be their Franchise faces and heels

2 years ago I would have been excited. However since this unfortunate injury to Haybusa and the departure of Masato Tanaka I've just stopped caring about FMW.
Very poor attitude Oldschool Fan. How many times did ECW lose a top guy to one of the bigger paying feds only to develop another star to shine?
Hopefully, FMW can work the same magic.
u never give up on a frderation just because they lost a big name or two. i mean, there WERE people before Tanaka and Eiji, and no one really liked him until he faced Onita...so Onita kinda put him over. Im sure there will be others. What about Eiji Ezaki Jr., Tomakazu Morita? Wouldn't you be interested to see what they do with him? I know I'm interested! ECW didnt really have many HUGE names, but they had a lot of good wrestlers.....they lost A LOT of big talent (i.e. Jericho, Benoit, Malenko, Guerrero, Tajiri, The Dudleys, and many many others), but they always put on great shows with great wrestling. Keep that in mind.
Didn't need to go bashing. I was just mearly expressing my opinion. Sure they still had a few guys I liked, however Hayabusa and Tanaka were the 2 main reasons I kept up on FMW. I'll still give them a chance, but I'm still not as pumped as some others.
Thats also how I got into and why I was into FMW was Hayabusa and Tanaka. Also about ECW thats how they made their name, discovering people before they were discoverd, legions of loyal f*** WWF f*** WCW style fans, and a Staple of great loyal wrestlers who loved ECW and only left because of the difference in pay with WCW and WWF. Sandman, Sabu, RVD, Dreamer, Taz, Raven, Buh-Buh Ray, Devon, & Spike Dudley. Plus they could catch a few big names in between promotions. Snuka,Santana, Bam Bam, and even Scott Hall Im sure you all get the picture. ECW was a very great indy fed and could have been a good Mainstream promotion had they would have been in ther right place at the right time.

when ECW folded, it sucked compared to what it had been. They had people like Corino and Credible on top who never would have been in 96.
Heyman was too busy scabbing money off everybody to care about the booking and the fans sold out by cheering for Sid and Dusty Rhodes, who were everything they used to hate.
Cos they folded when they did people now remember the good times, but if they carried on their reputation would have been spoiled.
If FMW comes back they've gotta go into it 100% and get it what it was like
ECW did not suck when they called it quits. Granted, they certainly were not at the level they were at in years prior (as in quality wrestling), but they still had great matches and great wrestlers. Also, it wasn't Paul Heyman who was handing out money and filtering talent out of the ECW roster, thatwould be the infamous Todd Gordon. The only thing Heyman can be blamed for is not knowing how to manage money. He didn't know how to manage ECW's profits, or lack there of, and that's why ECW said farewell. Joey Styles very rarely even got paid! If it wasn't for him I'd say ECW would've closed shop sooner than they did.
I wouldn't say using Dusty and Sid was selling out. Many top guys came there in between jobs. Mick Foley, Steve Austin, Terry Funk, Arn Anderson, Kevin Sullivan, Ron Simmons, Hawk, Terry Gordy, Bam Bam Bigelow, Steve Williams.....and countless others.
Besides if not for Dusty, Corino would still be remembered as a comedy act much like Simon Diamond.
yeah but the difference between Dusty and Sid and the other guys you named is that the others could actually work and gave their all for the business(most of them).
Dusty and Sid sucked in the ring and ECW fans knew it, but they cheered them for their name value.
most of them were only cheered because of the reputation that they were able to build in times past. It's all because of the wrestling world's obsession with the big man. Notice how significant the WWF's Lightweight title is, and other feds in America, and some other places around the world. Even Japan, they like their big men too. They loved Hulk Hogan! They have charisma, and I can't stand wrestlers (like most WWF wrestlers) that are only famous because of their mike skills. *cough, cough, The Rock, cough, cough* Anyway, ECW ruled right up until the end.
