I'm pretty new to puro, so thanks for answering my stupid question. I'm sure it won't be the first. It sucks, most of my friends are WWF marks, so I have to come online to talk to "smart" fans.

Yup. I'm not sure if they knew each other before working for New Japan together, but when Vader was the top gaijin for New Japan, Scorpio was a trainee/rookie living at the dojo.
I believe it was also Vader who introduced Scorpio to WCW.

PowerSlam magazine published a shoot interview with Scorp about 6 years ago. I don't have it to hand to check, but I'm 99% certain that in that interview he said that Vader was directly responsible for getting him into New Japan. I think they may have met originally in Mexico when Vader was working the UWA.
