    Tapes

I'm pretty new to puroresu, what tapes would you recommend for someone just getting into it? I'm looking more along the lines of compilations. Thanks for your help.

Hi there, if you would like to start watching puroresu, I would recommend you visit these Tape trading board on this site.

For starters, you can purchase tapes (you mentioned compilations, which is a great idea) about the history of the title belts for the big leagues (New Japan, All Japan, NOAH).

I would recommend the history of the IWGP Heavyweight title (New Japan's top belt) in 2 tapes. for match listing look here:

    and http://www.wrestlingemporium.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?491

    Look for the following stars
New Japan: Antonio Inoki, Tatsumi Fujinami, Riki Choshu, Shinya Hashimoto, Keiji Mutoh/Great Muta, Masa Chono, Vader, Kensuke Sasaki, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Yuji Nagata, Jushin Thunder Liger

All Japan/NOAH: Jumbo Tsuruta, Genichiro Tenryu, Stan Hansen, Mitsuharu Misawa, Steve Williams, Toshiaki Kawada, Kenta Kobashi...
