    puroresu fantasy entrance themes

i'll admit that the themes wrestlers use are already cool. i just wonder what would happen if more organizations went the route of ecw and instead of making their own music just used what was already on the shelves in the music stores. which music would you pick for which puroresu competitor? personally i think keiji muto coming out to the ring with "diab soule" by acid bath playing would be pretty off the chart.

Oh man, I had such a list at one point

Team 2000 - Silverchair "Anthem for the Year 2000"
Heath Herring - Filter "Hey Man, Nice Shot"
Jushin Liger (in his heyday) - Jimmy Hendrix "Purple Haze"
    Shinjiro Ohtani - Prodigy "Firestarter"
    Minoru Tanaka - KoRn "Thoughtless"
Kaz Murakami - Rage Against The Machine "Killing In The Name Of" (Inoki, that is)
TenKoji (if they were still together) - Sepultura "Refuse/Resist"

Those are just a few offhand. I'd explain if anyone needs them to be. Basically lyrically they fit with the persona (i guess)

I think that would of been generally a good theme for a TV Show - no doubt a Jr. Heavywight company like Toryumon

I'm sure that Sepultura song is used by Don Frye.

Indeed it was Ganso. Don Frye used the remix version, "Chaos BC", as mixed by the then future Soulfly drummer Roy Mayorga

I always thought Metallica - The memory remains would be a good theme song. Especially back in the old ECW days.

A couple of months back I made a list of Metallica songs & the wrestlers that would suit the songs, but I can't be bothered to retrieve it! Anyone who wants to feel free too.

Masaaki Mochizuki has the awesome 'Trapped Under Ice' as his theme.

not only would it make a good plug for his band, but i think that "to kill a stranger" by fozzy would be a good entrance for chris jericho. it's actually a pretty good song.

"charging up the buster" by spiritual tazer would have been cool for hayabusa. maybe another ridiculously talented wrestler will come along, but no one will ever be that cool.

Chono seems more like a hip-hop head to me.. so I see him coming out to Ante Up by M.O.P.

and Vader can come out to some southern rock or something.

What really constitutes a good entrance song? Is it the song as a whole, or just a kickin' opening?

I looked through my CD collection and came up with a few tunes that I could see a great wrestler walk out to:

    Atom Bomb by Fluke
    Resister by Radiator
"F" With Your Brain by DJ Rap
O Fortuna from Carl Orff's Carmina burana
Tubular Bells (the theme from The Exorcist)
and (of course) Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful by Nerf Herder (from the Baseketball soundtrack)
