    MLW Results

I was wondering if anyone had the results from MLW's show tonight? I'm interested in seeing who won the title. Either Lynn, Sabu, Kea, or Kojima. Plus the rest of the card was stacked.

Yeah, just uh...head on over to PuroresuPower.com to see the results.

Why are we supposed to hate that site anyway?

Well, My own personal reason for hating those guys goes back to a couple years ago having a conversation with Zack Arnold. Basicly if you didn't share his opinion he thought you were an idiot. So Basicly I think he's a prick (I apologize ahead of time for the vulgarity).

But from what I've gathered basicly most of the other regulars here have "horror stories" about those guys.

I've never had any problems with them. Zach has always been helpful in the past whenever I've needed something(like a venue name instead of "in Las Vegas" as it was posted on the site). But, from what people have told me they have their reasons for their opinions.

Although, the show was really hot from what I heard. They couldn't have had it one day later so I could make the trip, NOOOOO, had to do it on Thursday...

Let's not talk bad things about other websites, please.

I went to the show but am too lazy to type the results. Luckily, I got email newsletter from MLW, so I just copy and paste it here.

September 27, 2002 - To the fans, wrestlers, staff, and press - thank you! 24 hours removed from MLW Reload and Major League Wrestling cannot express its immense gratitude enough for your support for a show that kicked off the next chapter for MLW. Starting next week, MLW will quickly reveal its plans for the next event scheduled for November, however we can confirm that Satoshi Kojima will be bringing the MLW World Heavyweight Championship to Japan for title defenses in the upcoming months. In the meantime, here is a brief rundown of the event:

Before the first match, Crazy Cabbie of the Howard Stern Show/92.3 WXRK K-ROCK came out and announced the lottery winners for the MLW World Heavyweight Title match, which led to a confident and arrogant Taiyo Kea coming out and informing the fans that he was the true champion and that he should be in the main event. This provoked an all assault by the remaining lottery participants, leading to a pull-a-part by MLW officials.

Super Crazy defeated "The Amazing" Fuego Guerrero with a Crazy bomb.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams & PJ Friedman (with manager Joel Gertner) defeated Tim Arson and Eric Adamz. Gertner's career announcement was that he was managing "Dr. Death" & "The Fear Factor."

La Parka beat "1000% Guapo" Shocker with the twisting somersault press.

SIX MAN: Christopher Daniels, Ikuto Hidaka & Dick Togo beat the debuting Maximos & Quiet Storm when Daniels used the Last Rights on Storm for the pin. During the match, Dick Togo injured his ankle. More details to come on MLW.com regarding his status.

"Enforcer" CW Anderson defeated Devon Storm with a spinebuster on a chair.

Terry Funk pinned Chris Candido (with a surprise valet - SUNNY!) after an insane match which saw Funk bite Sunny in the ***!

3 Way Street Fight: The Sandman entered this match before it started and received a thunderous ovation at the Manhattan Center. Vampiro pinned the Sandman to eliminate the MLW newcomer and "Extreme Icon." In the final fall of this 3 way street fight, Corino pinned Vampiro after the duo had brawled all over the place.

#1 Contender match: Taiyo Kea pinned Sabu with the Hawaii 5-0 in a match that saw the two take it to the extreme with Sabu putting Kea through a table and much more!

MLW World Heavyweight Title Match: Satoshi Kojima pinned Jerry Lynn to win the vacated MLW title with a lariat at 15:21. The fans and press chanted "KOJIMA! KOJIMA!" as the new champion did an encore bow for the audience - which was on their feet! More details results to follow soon!

Other notes from the show: Dick Togo was injured during the "Spanish Fly" maneuver near the end of the six man match, however at this time it is believed to be just a sprained ankle. Further, Low Ki' - who was scheduled to wrestle in a tag team match with Christopher Daniels unfortunately had an ankle injury that prevented him from wrestling on this event. Our best wishes go out to Dick Togo & Low Ki' on a speed recovery. MLW looks forward to giving fans Low Ki's triumphant debut on future shows and seeing Togo back in action soon.

Thanks Hisa. Luckily I only missed the Super Crazy match, as they didn't allow me in for having a digital camera, I had to take a taxi back and forth to my house (Uptown) to get rid of it... But as I told you in the All-Japan forum, it was well worth it.

Why does it have to freakin' rain on days that I'm supposed to be happy about, anyway? And Manhattan traffic around 42nd is the pits to boot.

I've got a question for everybody who was able to make the show. How was it to see it live? I heard that Kojima was seriously over and the crowd was very pro-puro. So was it packed full of 700 guys like us? And if it was, why weren't Kea and Dr. Death blowing the roof off the place? And did anyone try to talking to Tiger?

There were many Dr. Death supporters (myself included) but his partner, Friedman, looked too fat to be taken seriously. And their opponents! That so-called "Afterburn" looked like he was actually scared of tangling with even Friedman...

Taiyo Kea, I found him at first unrecognizable. He shaved his head again and was wearing sunglasses and Disco Inferno-type pants with black tiger stripes on a white BG! The people only reacted to him when he applied the Hawaiian Crusher on Sabu...
