This is really for Hisa but if anyone has input feel free to chime in.....What is Zero-One's relation to NJ. Wasn't Inoki involved in it somehow? Are they separate now? Also, why did FMW bother breaking into 3 seperate companies if the guys are just gonna cross over all the time anyway?
fmw did not break up they went out of buisness after onita passed on the company to someone cant remember his name but then onita decidid to start over that is when onita pro started then hyabusa started his own company so the 3 fmw offspring are not a split up of the fmw but 3 new companies
i know they are not offshoots but if all of the old FMW guys are gonna do crossovers on each others shows why don't they all just pool their resources together and revive FMW
Because each company wants to do something differant. Onita wants to do deathmatches/indy sleaze, Ezaki wants to do a more wrestling based promotion, and Fuyuki wants to do WWE style skits.
Shoichi Arai is the guy whose name j.o.b. can't recall - the guy to whom Onita sold his share in FMW, after which it was rapidly driven into bankruptcy thanks mainly to truly ridiculous booking....
Well, you guys did a pretty good job of covering the FMW situation. Although it would make sense for the three groups to try to cooperate and run as one unit, those three guys will never get along. Their philosophies are too different. Just look at how long World Class and the AWA lasted. However, Zero-One, as far as I know, has no legal ties to New Japan. When Hashimoto broke off to start Zero-One he was allowed to book some NJ talent, but I'm pretty sure that's as far as it went, and I'm pretty sure it's no longer in effect. Of course, with the conspiracy theory going around that Zero-One, All Japan, New Japan and NOAH are going to start working together going around, who knows who's going to wrestle for who.
