What's the deal with this guy? I mean, all of a sudden, he gets 2 title shots?

Rumors are that he'll get the TC shot on the Wrestle-1 show on 11/17 against the GREAT MUTA/Tenryu

And that he'll get the IWGP title shot on at the Tokyo Dome show on 01/04/03 against Nagata/Chono

What's up with that? WHy so popular?

Could he possibly be TC & IWGP champ at the same time?

These days, K-1, which is essentially glorified kickboxing, has more audience than puroresu in Japan. Sad but true, puroresu is becoming more and more the cult thing that it is in the U. S.

The deal with Bob Sapp is that he is over huge. Japanese fans have always likes big foreigners, and few these days are bigger then him. He`s an ox. He sells tickets. Sales for the most recent Tokyo Dome were slow until he was added.
At wrestle-1 he`s probably going to wrestle Kojima now it appears.

Because Stan Hansen,Bruiser Blody and so on, gave many good matches.
So Japanese fans expect "big-wrestler" like a Bob Sapp.
