I just read on puroresupower that Hiromichi "Kodo" Fuyuki died at the age of 42 due to cancer. They have a brief run-down of his career, along with some reaction from other wrestlers.
I'd like to add my prayers to his family and friends in this difficult time.
Proud enough for you to call me arrogant
Greedy enough to be labeled a thief
Angry enough for me to go and hurt a man
Cruel enough for me to feel no grief...
-Although I never was a Fuyuki fan, I do respect what he accomplished over his career in AJ, WAR & his good days in FMW. It is really sad what has happened many FMW alumns since its fall. Hashimoto vs Fuyuki will have to wait...for now. But I'm sure Fuyuki will be running wild with the roster in heaven until that day comes. Hope he cuts out the TNR stuff though..it may not go over so well up there.
RIP, Kodo Fuyuki, I hope you find yourself in the great ring in the sky.
Another wrestler taken from us too early, my prayers do go out to the Fuyuki family.
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...

My one favorite match Kodo wrestled in, and I have it on tape, was the "15, 000 Thundervolt, Loser Leaves FMW Deathmatch" between Him and Masato Tanaka for the WEW Title. It showed how great of a worker Fuyuki was, and what a truly great wrestler he was.
My prayers go out ot his wife and two children, I am still very sad he is gone.

I read a report about Fuyuki's funeral. It said that a ring announcer introduced Fuyuki to the fans and the fans all threw yellow streamers, and Kintaro Kanemura lead the fans in an impromptu "Team No Respect" dance. I think he would have liked that...
Rest in peace, "Big Boss"...

While I have never been a big Fuyuki fan, I too have mourned at his passing. No one should die that young. I will admit that envy him though, he was able to chase his dream of wrestling right up to the end. I could ask for no better destiny.
I just came back from my VERY short trip to Japan. When I arrived at Tokyo on the 20th, the second thing I found out was his death and was really shocked (the first thing was of course the attack on Iraq which didn't surprise me much).
I was pretty shocked when I heard about Fuyuki passing. I always respected him, although I actually never liked him and his booking but thats certainly no reason for wishing him death. The only time I ever actually saw Fuyuki wrestle was a 15,000 Volt Cage Match against Hayabusa... it was pretty good.
Wish him peace 'n a large piece of cake.
