Being that Hisa asked if anyone else would care to answer, Im assuming that Kowalski's wrong...but Im not gonna choose another because that will take the fun out of it.

if it's not kowalski i would say Buddy Rogers, because Gorgeous George wouldnt have for sure, Rocca is questionable but Rogers was NWA so that pushes him towards Japan.
I moved this thread from "Showa" to "General" because it wasn't getting much attention. I guess this question was neither fun nor difficult.
The correct answer is Kowalski.
Rikidozan was trying so hard to book Buddy Rogers, but as many of you probably know, even the American promoters were having hard time booking him because of McMahon and Kohler.
Antonio Rocca never wrestled in Japan but refereed the match between Inoki and Thesz in New Japan.
As for Gorgeous George...., I gotta admit that I didn't even know who he was until I came to this country. I thought I was doing ok with American pro-wrestling history even before coming to this country, but I guess I missed the big one.
I'll try to come up with a better question next time. I'll post it on the "Showa", though.
