    Giant Baba

Why is he considered a legend?
And why do people hold him in such high respect?

Baba is a legend in puro because in a sense after Rikidozan's stabbing in 1963 he saved puroresu, he became the top face and kept the old JWA alive during the post-Riki letdown.
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...

Ok, are there any other reasons or examples?
Also, why people make comments like "if giant baba was my grandfather I'd have a reason to be angry."
    Or, your signature.

The reason that these comments exist is because after Baba's death in 1999, his company, All-Japan split into two distinct companies, NOAH and All-Japan. All-Japan survived beacuse 2 native wrestlers along with most of the gaijin wrestlers stayed because of respect of Baba. After the split Keiji Mutoh came over originally as part of the NJPW/AJPW cooperation but later defected with Kojima & Kashin. He was granted booking power with Genichiro Tenryu by Baba's widow. Tenryu left because he felt that he wasn't being heard enough, so Mutoh became solo booker. Earlier on this year, Mrs. Baba sold All-Japan to Mutoh and the other directors. Mutoh's booking has been poor and the talent he has brought in has been poor as well, he has reduced the once-glorious company to ashes of its former self.

Thus the comment "Jamal and Rosey....." saying those wrestlers are not the former AJPW caliber.

    Thanks, I understand now.
Seems like Mutoh wants to be just like Vince McMahon.

Unfortunately, you seem to be dead on wit that assumption. Mutoh's Wrestle 1 shows were as effective as dumping cash in a fire. His All Japan booking has insulted and chased off the most loyal fan base in all of puro, and to top it off, he is working a New Japan show on 1/4. What does that say about his own company?

With Mutoh it has mostly been the case of self over the good of the promotion.
FAITH in HIM is the refusal to panic.
    GOT JESUS?
