Every year, the selection of Puroresu Awards is sanctioned by Tokyo Sports Newspaper, and the winners are selected by judges from puroresu-related magazines and newspapers.

These awards are for the achivements but not for who the judges thought put the best matches for the year.

Yes, I know Hisa, it's just odd to see his name as Wrestler of the year.

Although he deserves it more than last year's winner, Bob Sapp!
