Who out there in todays Puro scene do you see as being considered a pioneer or innovator maybe 10 to 15 years from now? Maybe it's someone who's spirit goes above and beyond anything we've seen in previous generations. Maybe someone who's signature style you can see being widely replicated. Someone who's character will spawn as many offshoots and farces as The Great Muta has (I.E. The Great Nita, The Great Koji)?

Kobashi still leads them all with his Fighting Spirit, but for the new generation, I'd have to go with Hiroshi Tanahashi.

But Tanahashi says that his style is heavily influenced by Mutoh, who he thinks is the biggest successor of Fujinami in terms of the style. He says those two wrestlers are the biggest inspiration for him.

Indeed about Tanahashi's style, he does use many moves that Mutoh used himself borrowing from Fujinami. But for Fighting Spirit with the new generation, I think that no one tops him.

Nagata also has the fighting spirit of a champion.
