That was Kawada doing the move to Misawa. The match took place January 22nd, 1999. It is not one of his regular moves though, more a mistake/head dropping phase that was the craze in Japan in the late 90s.
Yea, he also *sort of* did one against Mutoh. I still wouldn't consider it to be in his normal bag of moves though, more his move he does in a few really big matches as a last resort. Course, it isn't exactly original, anyone can drop someone on their head, there is just a reason that it isn't done.....
There are other threads on this subject if you want to search for them...
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
I heard it was for revenge on Misawa because he did the tiger driver 91 on him. Luds said that. What is the diference between all the tiger drivers from misawa anyway? he´s got 91, 89, every year since he became tiger mask, I believe
I can smell it, I can hear it... Its triple H!!! he just won the world title on a fluke! (again)
I think there are only three Tiger Drivers that Misawa uses. There is the regular sit out one which I do not think has a year name. There is the '91, which is the head drop one, and there is also the '01, which is a sit out version off the top rope. He also uses the Tiger suplex '85, but I am not sure exactly what that is. The ganso bomb(especially the one vs. Kawada in '99) is probably the sickest looking head drop I have ever seen. The Diamondhead sounds worse, but I have never seen it.
No matter what troubles you have, always love life and live in triumph.
well i know what a tiger suplex is and what a reverse tiger suplex is, but i have no idea what a tiger suplex '85 is. alas, doesn't doing a headdrop move like the tigerdriver 91 and the gansobomb regularly get you lots of heat bachstage? rhetorical question really, i think.
