    Jushin liger news

I heard in a jushin liger interview that he would like to work for the wwe. What are your thoughts about that.

I found that out at ring of honors website a while back. ROH was promoting the jushin liger dvd when jushin liger was doing some wrestling shows. It also said on the dvd on what he first thought of the whole jushin liger gimmick at first. He said he thought people would laugh at him. It also talks about how he changed his style over the years. If you want more go to Ring of Honors website.

Actually he did say that he does want to wrestle in the WWE before he retires. I'd love to see it, it would make him the 8th Japanese junior to wrestle in the WWE (Sasuke, U.D., Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Funaki*, Tajiri*, and Minoru Tanaka the other 7).

Ugh....I can just picture what the great WWE creative team will have in store for him:

    1. Feud with Kenzo Suzuki over Hiroko. Will have his lifetime average match rating by the Observer lowered to less than 1 star as a result of this pairing. And, of course, he'll do more jobs over the length of this feud than he has since he became the Liger character.

    2. Comedy tag team with Hurricane complete with his own sound effect when he changes from Yamada to Liger. Of course, they won't use the name Yamada, they'll call him Kato or Miyagi or something else easy for Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler to say. Better yet, they'll give him a Chinese name to "compensate" for giving Jimmy Yang a Japanese gimmick. What's the big deal anywasy, all of us Asians look alike anyways, right Stephanie....Trips......Vince.....??!!

    3. They'll give him a gimmick based on the Iron Chef. He'll come to the ring with a wok or a sushi cutting board and use it in his matches. His Liger Bomb will be renamed the Sake Bomb.

    4. Will be the victim of countless worms by Scotty 2 Hotty, at house shows, on Smackdown, on Velocity, on PPVs. When will the madness end??!!

    5. Five words for you: Cheesy generic Asian entrance music.

I hope Liger comes to his senses and sees what a wonderful job the WWE has done with quality wrestlers from Japan. These aren't the days when Inoki used to tour during the early 80's. Take a look at Ultimo Dragon, Funaki, TAKA, etc. He will job and he will be made to look like a fool. Don't ruin your legendary legacy. Stay home and enjoy the power you have at NJPW.

Like Tanaka, Tiger Mask IV also did at least one dark match. So Liger would be the 9th.

He'd probably end up jobbing to Spike DUdley or Shannon Moore, fueding for the cruiserweight title against Torrie Wilson, then be eaten by the Big SHow after a storyline that includes Liger saying the word "Godzirra" at least once per show.

That one is funny Horrorshow!! He'd then be able to use the word "Gojira", which was the monster's name in Japanese. I hope Vince doesn't read this board, because then it would be a mid-card match at Wrestlemania, pushed as "The superhero from Japan vs. the monster from the states". I can picture all of the cheesy vignettes.

Sadly enough, I can see all these predictions coming true if he signs up with WWE.

Why would anyone with a great legacy want to go to the WWE anyway? IMO, there isn't enough money in the word to justify that.

Its sick what WWE does to wrestlers who have such a great legacy. I mean what japanese wrestler has had really good success in WWE anyway. Has any Japanese wrestler every won the world title, no. The only one I know of is Yokozuna and he wasn't even japanese, he was samoan. But if they do hire Liger I hope they don't give him a cheesy gimmick and I hope they don't make him a jobber.

I hope liger doesnt go to the wwe. They would just shred him up so bad. Up side is i would get to meet him, i mean the first show in CA with him in it id be there, id kill anybody that would like to stop me, but i just think its a bad idea for liger to even consider working for the wwe.

If Liger did this it'd be the worst decision he could make in his entire career.

I would have mixed emotion but more so i would be ****ed that he went to the WWE. I dont want him jobbing for Scotty 2 Hotty and having a fued with kenzo suzuki. If indeed he does goto WWE I hope they look at him like a Eddie or a Chris and let him fued with them.
