I always think of gimmick free showdowns with stiff moves and painful, innovative submissions. Usually, though, I picture Kenta Kobashi in Orange Crush gear hitting a huge lariat.
Abba-Zabba....you my only friend! - Thurgood Jenkins
The first thing that comes to mind are the great Japanese announcers screaming at the top of their voices for every great nearfall or dangerous move: "Counta two! Counta two!!", "Abunai!! Abunai!!" , "Misawa down!!! Misawa down!!", "Tiger duriva!! Tiger duriva!!".......etc.
really excitement is the first thing that comes to mind. I think about how the fans are in it and screaming, oohing, ahhing, and cheering at the top of their lungs. I think about the announcers doing the same. I think about the wrestlers going all out to get that final acceptance from the fans at the end of the match.
Wrestling that is still spelt W-R-E-S-T-L-I-N-G...thanks to Terry Funk for that line...
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...
Respect. Respect for the fans, for those who came before you and those just coming up, respect for moves and wrestling logic, for tradition and open mindedness. I also think of Jumbo getting Misawa over and being gracious and a true gentleman about it. When I think of how much politics rears its ugly head and how much people talk about "spots" and who has power and who doesn't, its refreshing to see a guy who was as giving as he was talented. On a less serious note, I also think about Kanemura dancing and LCO kicking some butt.

I think of the passion that the puroresu wrestlers and fans have. I think that passion is part of what makes puroresu so great, and I wish it would spread over more to the U.S.
