    W.A.R. titles

Does anyone know why WAR's last initial was actualy an 'R' or what a J-1 title is? Where is the promotions HEAVYWEIGHT/World title and were IT'S (not the NWA's) tag team titles are? What is with all these foreign companies starting the jr. heavyweight titles up first??

WAR means "Wrestling And Romance", or alternatively "Wrestle Association R". The J-1 Heavyweight Title was the promotion's only heavyweight championship. It's maybe not too far fetched that J-1 could mean "Number One of Japan" or something like that. As is common practice, the titles were abandoned when the promotion closed in 2000.

the J-1 title was supposed to be the heir to Rikidozan's Japanese Heavyweight title that was abandoned 40 years before the inauguration of the J-1 title...and for info on other titles, here you are

I changed the title of this thread. I hope the original poster will finally learn the rules and manners of this forum.

That J-1 Title belt looks awesome. I wonder how much it would cost to get a replica of that made.....

That sounds like a question for Reggie Parks. Joe does good work too, my NWA belt is fantastic. Harley Race and Raven both put it over as the nicest NWA Title they've ever seen. He also made the Zero-One USA Belt, which you can actually buy a copy of too. Check him out at Championshipleather.com. He'll probably be a little cheaper than Reggie for a custom job like that.
