    New to Puroresu

I've recently discovered puroresu through a few wrestling media sites and for the most part I'm in love. I've known about puroresu for quite a long time but I haven't seen much, there was just nothing that made me want to see it for the longest time. So I have a few questions:

Who are some good wrestlers to watch? I've seen some Mutoh/Muta, Lyger, Hayabusa but thats pretty much it.

Is there any differences in rules in most of the feds in Japan?

What major feds are currently running in Japan?

Sorry if these questions get asked all the time, but I'm just eager to learn =)

Shoot! wrong section, if somebody could move this to the right section . . . Sorry.

Who are some good wrestlers to watch?
junior heavyweights: Jushin Liger, Great Sasuke, Super Delfin
heavyweights: Mitsuharu Misawa, Toshiaki Kawada, Kenta Kobashi
women: Mayumi Ozaki, Ayako Hamada, Manami Toyota

Is there any differences in rules in most of the feds in Japan?
There are some minor differences. But nothing really noteworthy for now. You'll probably figure it out yourself anyway as soon as you're watching more puroresu.

What major feds are currently running in Japan?
The major feds are: NOAH, All Japan, New Japan

But you shouldn't just check out the major feds, you should also check out:
independent feds: Michinoku Pro, Osaka Pro
women's wrestling feds: JWP, Jd', AtoZ

Sorry if these questions get asked all the time, but I'm just eager to learn =)
That's okay. You can keep asking questions if you want to know more about puroresu.

IVP is great. Check on any other Message Board and you won't find anything negative about him.

Thanks for all the help everyone, one last question for now, I was watching a Lyger match from Weekend of Thunder in ROH. I thought the Lygerbomb was a sitout tigerdriver, but he does a running sitout powerbomb in this match and the announcers call it a lygerbomb. Is there two versions of the lygerbomb or was I just in the wrong?

Yeah there's two versions of the Ligerbomb. Ones a sitout powerbomb and the other is a running sitout powerbomb. He uses them but he doesn't usually pick up the victory with em. He usuely wins with a shotei, brainbuster, or fisherman buster. For the noobs i also suggest watching some of Satoshi Kojima's recent matches. Some of his older ones are pretty good too.
