I have not bought a single tape this year and usually buy several a year. It just seems like there isn't a "buzz" like there usually is about tapes. I need your opinions on "must own" tapes from this year. I like the Joshi, Noah, juniors, Dragon's gate, can you guys help?
For joshi, I personally like GAEA. Hirota is great, and Ozaki and Ayako works shots for them. Zenjo isn't bad either. It's a shame both companies closed up shop. Most of their TV is worth having. For NOAH, 3/5/05 is noteworthy since the GHC changes hands. Other than that NOAH is NOAH. It's consistent wrestling with little or no emotional investment. Dragon Gate always puts on a good show for what they do. I recommend the 5/19 PPV since it has Tenryu vs. Magnum TOKYO in Magnum's 8th Anniversary match and DG#19 since Kawada makes a surprise appearance.
If you're interested in getting hooked up for cheap, drop me a line. I'll get you taken care of.
Certainly. I mainly do DVD though. I can do VHS, but it costs more since blank tapes cost more than blank DVDs and they're heavier to ship. Drop me a PM with your email address and I'll take care of you. I would PM you the list, but it's far too long to fit in a PM. If you're a Ric Flair fan, I just got a 21 DVD Best of Ric Flair set that is really really good. It has lots of footage I haven't been able to find anywhere else and the video quality is amazing.
