    What do you like Puroresu

Since i guess almost everyone's favorite style in here is puroresu , i would like to ask the question : Why?

LEt me start first : I like puroresu because it has that cetain sth that other styles don't . I like the serious and realistic approach they take into wrestling and i enjoy the fact they concentrate on matches and not stupid storylines .

    OK your turn now

I love it because it's actually taken seriously (exept maybe for a couple funky indies), matches almost look like they are a real competition, and they put great emotion in it. I like the fact that most of the time wrestlers shake hands and respect each other after the matches (minus the occasionnal heelish beatings). We don't need children behavior of the wwe idiots.

Japanese people are different and thanks to that, it makes great wrestling.

    That's it.

There are many reasons. In no specific order here are a few:
    1) Realism and Psychology. This is something that is lost in today's product here in the states. For the most part in puro, titles have not been demeaned and actually mean something. Stories are still told in the ring and it is not merely a spot fest.
    2) Workrate. To old schoolers like me this word means more than how often you run the ropes, jump off the top rope or dive to the floor. Working is in its real definition is the means of selling to the public that you are in a struggle and your level of activity to convey that struggle and the emotion you exude to do it.
    3) Clean finishes. For over a decade non finishes were the norm which differs it from the American product distinctly. Non finishes are a cancer in my view. Even now this is something that is rearing it's ugly head again and beginning to reemerge. But more so than not the contests are conducted as the sport of kings should.
    4) Respect Unlike the circus here in the states, most of the main promotions in Japan do not insult the intelligence of their fans.

Off the top of my head I do not believe that it has. If it were to have happened I would guess it would have happened before 1987 or so when the major promotions were patterning themselves after the U.S. booking style. The difference is, in Japan the titles have until recent years been very protected from anything which would demean their prestige.

Everything that has been said,it seems more like a genuine atheletic contest.Very serious and proffesional. Also, foreigners seem to get a fair shake in Japan, many have been treated well and some like Stan Hansen are genuine legends over there(or so I have read). How many Japanese competitors have gotten a fair chance and real push over here!?.

Stan hansen was real popular in japan an also was steve williams. the booking in japan is better then here, thats why foriners get better push over there than in the U.S. that one of the reason why i like Puroresu.
    Jesus loves you all
