Kensuke Sasaki injured

Kensuke Sasaki suffered an eye socket injury during the match against Katsuyori Shibata on the 2006/07/02 Big Mouth Loud card at Kourakuen Hall. He was hospitalized on the 14th but still wrestled for NOAH on the 16th, subbing for the injured Kenta Kobashi to team with the returning Yoshiro Takayama to face Mitsuharu Misawa & Jun Akiyama (without telling them about the injury).

His matches during All Japan's July tour will be cancelled. His Asian Tag Team Title defense scheduled on the 30th will be most likely postponed.

He had the surgery on the 18th, which was successful. They put silicon below his left eye to fix the eyeball. It is unknown whether or not his sight will recover.
