Question About WWF Yokohama Show

I'm somewhat new to puro, and if this question is rather obvious I'm sorry about that. But I was wondering why Japanese fans seem to hate Taka and Funaki for going to the WWF while Tajiri seems to be rather popular. To me it seems like both of them went to the "circus" company and became shadows of their former selves. Did Taka or Funaki leave other promotions hanging when they signed with the WWF? Also, wouldn't it be somewhat disrespectful for Tajiri to use the mist with Mutoh on PBP? I'd love to know what Mutoh's reaction was to that.
