Inoki in the WWE HOF 2010???

I read on the wrestlezone.com forum that someone saw on the Japanese WWE site, that Stan Hansen would be inducting him this year. Anyone else hear about this? I'd investigate myself, but I can't read Japanese!

Yeah, that seems to be confirmed. Also reported on the official IGF site. Inoki deserves to be in any sort of pro-wrestling HOF, but with his recent (no) relationship with Vince/WWE, I'm not sure why he was inducted this year.

While I'm not a fan of Inoki, I completely agree that he should be in a Hall of Fame of any sort.

On a similar yet different side note, is Baba in the NWA HOF?

Nope, although Baba in NWA HOF seems to be more deserving than Inoki in WWE HOF.

hmm...I wonder why that is. I think Baba should be in the NWA HOF....I think we need an International HOF for wrestlers of all nationalities. Problem is funding I guess...well and finding a host country. I remember reading that someone wanted to make a physical Pro Wrestling HOF in New York or something, but there isn't someone wanting to put the money into it.

It's official. Announced on RAW, Inoki is the 2nd announced person for the HOF this year....Maybe we'll see Tiger Mask one day?
