Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum, but a life-long wrestling fan. I just graduated college and want to begin training to live my dream of becoming a professional wrestler. I've been researching teaching English in Asia as a great way to tackle student loans because of free housing. What really attracts me to make that move is the idea of training in Japan. I
With all that being said, does anyone know about training there? I thought I read somewhere that the New Japan dojo was invitation only. Are all training facilities this way? I need to figure out a school I will train at before I go ahead and look at schools to teach English at in the area. Also worth noting is I do not know Japanese and this will be my first experience in the ring, so yes I'm green as grass although I do have a significant amateur background.
I another thing is trying to make a connections with American wrestlers who have wrestled in Japan for certain amount of times.
Thank you so much for replying. I will work toward building these contacts. I noticed in that thread, a poster mentioned that Harley Race holds a 3-day camp. I went to his school's site and don't see anything about this. Do you know when it takes place?
Thank you!
edit: Just did some Google searches and found out it starts on Monday. Holy cow, why did I not stumble onto this a month ago! Ughh
