    Greatest Match Ever...

Name your opnion of the single greatest wrestling match of all tim ethat You've seen. Could be Japanese, American or European, whatever just in your opnion of the greatest match.

As an avid WWF Fan my whole life mine is kinda cliche, I have seen some doosies in my day, I have enjoyed everything from Taker/Foley Hell in a Cell at King of the Ring '98 to Masato Tanaka/Awsome at ECW November to Remember. But without question my most favorite match ever would have to be Hulk Hogan Vs the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI, on April 1,1990 in front of 67,000+ in Toronto's Sky Dome, the hype, the stage, seeing these 2 men face to face for both the WWF Heavyweight Title and the WWF Intercontinental title was great and these men left it all in the squared circle. Trulya legendary match between 2 legends.

    You gotta be kidding!

Those two are probably two of the worst wrestlers of all time.
I rather take the M2K VS Crazy Max 38 min elimination match over that match.
The only very good WWF match I seen is HBK VS Bret Hart Iron Man Match.

Best match I guess I loved the old Dean Malenko / Eddie Guerreo matches from ECW. I got to see one in personal (plus a TV title change)

My favorite all time match however is the Royal Rumble, I have been to 4 in person (3 of them PPVs) and I have have never seen a match that always get's me excited no matter who is in it.

Another great match I saw was taped in Poughkeepsie, NY years ago. It was a taping for a Summer Slam warm up card. It was a steel cage match between Money Inc and Steiners. They cut the match to Hell on TV but this was under the rules of both men had to escape. During the match (which lasted like 36 minutes) both teams kept going back into the cage to help out their partner. The greatest cage match I have ever seen.

Wow, you really get around. I would love to have seen Malenko vs. Guerrero live.

I remember that cage match, and on the finish either IRS or Dibiase ended up on One of the steiners shoulders as he was climbing out,so he never touched the floor as the other steiner escaped on the other side. And there is a very good Malenko/Guerrero 2 out of 3 falls match on the ECW Path of Destruction DVD...this was their last match in ECW, it was a good one

P.S.Hom3r you must not have seen very much WWF In your life if thats the Only very good WWF Match youve ever seen. Hogan and Warrior are 2 of the biggest names in at least American Wrestling history, and dont get me started on how the WWF Beats puroresu's *** you need to open your eyes, just because they stick a time limit on a match doesnt make it great, Im sure your match was good as I know the Ironman was but there has been more great matches in america than just the Ironman

I seen many american matches but any match involving Warrior or Hogan doesnt qualify IMO. They are lousy wrestlers and YOU need to open your mind to good wrestling.
WCW cruiserweight matches were usually great, especially Jericho VS Malenko and Juvi VS Rey jr or Psicosis VS Rey Jr......so many possible combinations.
The only "recent" WWF match I liked was the Ladder Match at last years Royal Rumble and the Benoit VS Angle match from WMX7.

I can't just point out one match, but some of my favorites (because of the hype, and/or the action, and/or storyline) are:

    - Savage vs Steamboat (WM III)
    - Hogan vs Andre (WM III)
    - Hogan vs Savage (WM V)
    - Hogan vs Warrior (WM VI)
    - Savage vs Warrior (WM VII)
    - Hart vs Hart (WM X)
    - TLC 1 (WM 2000)
    - Hogan vs Flair (BATB 96)
    - Flair vs Steamboat 2/3 Falls (don't remember which event(S))
    - Muta vs Hase both bloodmatches!
    - Mutoh vs Tenryu for the TC
    - Mutoh vs Hashimoto (May 3, 95)

The first TLC match was from Summerslam 2000 not Wrestlemania.

He is thinking of the 3 team ladder match at WM2k between Hardys,Dudleys, and Edge & Christian. I never got the difference between a 3 team ladder match and a TLC match but it just gives things a different twist. Hogan and Warror isnt a great match just because of the match by itself the angle leading up tho the match was so revolutionary at the time. Seeing 2 men both considered to be the franchise of the WWF, both babyfaces facing each other on the biggest stage of them all, with both titles on the line. Then they go out and put on a great match, if you claim to be an american wrestlibg fan and dont like this match you best check yourself... Others I enjoy were

    Hogan/Andre-WM3
    Savage/Steamboat-WM3
    Savage/Warrior-WM7
    Bret Hart/Davey Boy Smith-SummerSlam 92
    Taker/Foley-KOR 98
    Sandman/Sabu-Stairway To Hell(sometime in like 96)
    Hall/HBK-WM10
    Hart/HBK-WM12
    Hart/Austin-WM13
    Rock/Foley-Royal Rumble 99
    Tanaka/Awsome-Nov. to Remember
    RVD/Jeff Hardy-Invasion 01
RVD/Jerry Lynn-(dont remember from where, but itw as for RVD's TV Title and its on ECW Extreme Evolution DVD)

There has got to be more but these are just the ones that come to mind right away

I'm not sure that you can call it the greatest match of all time, but I was always rather fond of the 60 minute draw between Hennig and Bockwinkle for the AWA Title. For something with atmosphere, you can't go wrong with Vader's NJ debut.

RoaringElbow. The RVD/ jerry Lynn match you're talking about was from the PPV taping in Poughkeepsie, NY. I was at that card and that was a great match. Interesting side note, Jerry Lynn broke his nose when he hit the floor during the match. (My mother worked at the hospital at the time as security) The wrestler who took him to the hospital (name escapes me right now) faught Jerry Lynn on the very next ECW card held in Poughkeepsie, NY. My friend joked with me and my wife that it should have been a hospital match .

That was a great match, however. ECW (might not be my favorite federation towards the end) but they did put on some amazing matches. My wife always loved to watch Super Crazy and Taijri fight. She has a thing for lucidors (sp) and fast passed, stiff hitting matches.

Thank you for correcting my spelling.
I know Taijri isn't mexican, never said he was. I said my wife has a thing for Luchadores and she likes Taijri. Never said they where the same, just that she likes them both.
