Does anyone have any memories of seeing matches involving The Sheik? I know the man who used that name is Ed Farhat. He began in the early 1950's, but began his heel antics in the late 1950's. He was in an Indianapolis-based promotion in the late 1950's to the mid-1960's when he started his own promotion out of Detroit. In that promotion, he usually held the United States Heavyweight Title and fought all opponents with every kind of object. By that time, blood was a part of almost all of his matches. As time as gone by, many wrestlers have come forward to openly talk of their days in the ring, but Ed Farhat remains private about his activities in the ring and his business as a promoter. Any insites into both would be both interesting and informative.
