I decided to start this poll because I wanted to respect the votes of the members. PLEASE vote if you haven't. Also, please don't post any message in which you are asking me to make you a moderator once the additional board is created.
I think American wrestling is crap today...but I think it should be included. Just not focused on. I mean I go to the Puro Dojo for Puro...but I don't hate wrestling American or not. I still watch it in the same context as a Japanese fan although I'm American. I HAVE lost respect for American Pro wrestling but I figure instead of flooding the boards with usless stuff, put it in its own board. Heck I may even post there once in a while lol.
If I wanted to talk about American pro-wrestling I'd sign on to an ICQ chatroom or register with another wrestling website that offers that. Stick to Puroresu.
Why go somehwere completely different to post on a WWF board filled with ignorant spectators that love who Vince McMahon tells them to. You ppl on this board all know what you are talking about. Even you pro-puroresu guys know more about american wrestling then those dumb*** spectators, I enjoy posting with you because it actually gives me some insight to real fans. You all make this more enjoyable for me. The addition of a WWF board would let me talk about what I know so much about while I try to learn more about the product in Japan. Maybe some of you who have givin up on the American product can see things you never have before and make it a better wrestling world for all of us.

I have no objections to a new board. I really haven't noticed a huge problem with people posting things that were way off the wall, but a new boarrd probably isn't a bad idea. That would keep the current boards "pure" and would provide an outlet to talk about the American wrestling scene where everyone does not think that Vince McMahon is the greatest promoter/booker/talent/WWF Champion in the history of wrestling.
Hey I believe its in the introduction to this sight that New Japan is becoming Americanized well so is this board. If it was never intended to talk about American Puroresu than get it out of here.Go to [name of a website deleted by administrator. let's not mention the names when we talk badly about other websites] where they let that crap go on.The fact that we got guys on this board using the words "angle, product, gimmicks"just goes to show that its already happening lets kepp the puroresu dojo pure.Hey if I wanted to talk about American puroresu I wouldn't come here with the not so bad people.American Puroresu sucks and whats more its not puroresu its "sports entertainment"Whatever the heck that means.
Ive said it before and my opinion hasn't changed - this is a Puroresu board, not a Sports Entertainment board. There are millions of places WWF fans can go and bicker about who is cooler, but little places to voice an opinion on Puroresu without having some derogatory remark thrown back in your face. Hisa has been tolerant in allowing Sports Entertainment posts in the general board, but I feel that if people want to get together and ***** about WWF, then go to a place more appropriate or alternatively, where more people care about Sports Entertainment.
There are tons and tons of American boards for all those stuff. Stick with Puroresu. The board should not stray away from this. Please! Japanese pro-wrestling is VERY MUCH DIFFERENT FROM American crap called pro-wrestling.
Ok, I am here because I like puroresu. And Hisa's site is GREAT.
But what RoaringElbow says is true. Most people here know more about Sports Entertainment (S.E.) than the smartest of smart fans who go to S.E. Forums, or in News Groups (That's why many people do talk WWF in here!). Therefore my opinion is the following:
I was against it, but as Hisa said, there's too many WWF post in here, and since many fans are FOR a new board (more than I expected) I think that we should have one. If we don't, hisa will constantly have to remove the S.E. posts to satisfy the puroresu fans.
This new board could be ignored by any fans who don't wish talk S.E. And since this is Hisa's site, well he can decide at any time to just Kill the board if he wishes, or if it's too crowded, or if too mush work is necessary to have a board.
If you are here because you want to learn about Puroresu or already like Puroresu then why pollute it with thread about McMahon and his dysfunctional company.
I voted to keep it in the general board, but I wouldn't mind a "SE" board.
I do agree this sight is small and goes unnoticed by your "average" wrestling fan. But that is the best part, because they people that take the time to look for it and figure out what this board is about are people that usually know what they are talking about. The only other message board I will even go to is the NWA BB because I am a huge fan of the NWA also. And much like this board it goes unnoticed by all except for the most die hard wrestling fans.
That being said we still talk about WWF, Japan ect. on the nWA board. WE get together and talk wrestling. That is what I enjoy about this board I can talk with intelligent people about something I love. I'm sorry if everyone doesn't like "SE" and that is fine. I'm sorry if people get offended by such talk. If I have offended anyone is such a way I am sorry because that was never my intention. Since I mentioned gimmic in one of my posts, I'm sorry you took offense to that Pete, however Japan (FMW) has more then it's share of Gimmic matches and that is really what I was asking about in my post, it just kind of turned into an american topic.
All I ask is that if people get turned off by "SE" talk then by all means start a "SE" board so those who want to view it can. But please allow us to continue to have a place to speak with other intelligent fans. I don't see many flames on these boards and the few I do I can easily ignore. I enjoy a place where I can talk with people, learn new things and since I'm a "mark" for title histories I really enjoy this site and I find a lot of people that post here also have a great knowledge of title histories.
And you see me with a smile on my face
And you know I'm a mental case
