    Question Which fed?

Not sure if this is the right board so sorry in advance, I am thinking of buying some Japanese wrestling as I have never seen any and am thinking what championship should I buy? I am a big fan of Shootfighting and the uwf/uwfi, is there any championship like them? also is there a championship in Japan like the WWF.

any combo of misawa/kawada/kobashi matches is a decent place to start. Go straight for the best.

AJ's Champions Carnival 95 is great.

You are talking bout heavyweights, right?

Most dealers have Best of Japan tapes (example: Best of Japan 2001), you might want to check one of those out, they'll have matches from a bunch different promotions.

Anything from All Japan or New Japan in 93 was good. Easily the best year of wrestling ever.

Oh, and although not really a shooto style, any of Inoki's stuff is also a sure thing. If you don't like kami-sama you have no right to call yourself a wrestling fan. Boom ba ye!

If you like shoot stuff but want wrestling then go with New Japan. They usually have great groundwork in their matches. Its also an easy fed to get into for a beginer.

If you want pure shootfighting go with Pride.

If you want wwf style, look into some of FMW's later stuff, kinda WWF style sans production values. More like ECW really. Plus Hayabusa has to be the greatest character, and one of the greatest wrestlers ever.
