    Best Events Ever?

What events do you all rate as the best ever? Not just on the wrestling that happned but also on the atsomphere and heat of the event.Im just getting into puro so the only classic event iv seen is the super J from 94(tho dreamslam II is in the mail ). So ill go with

1.Super J 94 - By most people's WWF rating stanards every match on this card is **** per better and the last 2 are *****+++++++.
2.Summerslam 92 - Only 2 really good matches but this was for me the biggest event in wrestling history(for us englishmen anyway). Iv heard that the 93'000 from WM III was more like 78,000 meaning summmerslam 92 was bigger.
3.In your house 16:Canadian Stampede - The only event in WWF history without a bad match.

The J Cup '94 was great but im not sure about every match being 4*+! Sasuke worked his end off that night and his match with Samurai is very underrated.
J*Crown tournament in '96 was also great.

For heavyweights Champions Carnival '95 was a hot series.

Outside Japan i'd go for When Worlds Collide and Heatwave '98

I'd vote for the Super J Cup 1994. When you think of all that needed sorting out for the event to take place - the amount of politicking that must have taken place, then you realise how much of a rarity the event was. I mean, assuming WCW and ECW were still around today, then that kind of event would never take place in America. J Cup 94 is a testament to Keiichi Yamada's booking ability. Also, the match quality was superb, with only two (at my count) "so-so" matches. Everything else was good.

I say either Skydiving J or the 2nd J cup. I don't remember what year I just remember the match between dragon and ohtani that was just awesome.

I'm quite fond of Wrestlemania 3. At the time, it was the biggest show of all time. When they called Hogan vs. Andre the match of the century, they weren't over-hyping it.

Canadian Stampede: One hell of a show, plus it had one hot crowd

Super J Cup'94: I haven't seen it yet "cries" but I'm going to get it soon,

Toryumon PPV 7/7/01: One awesome show, it was their first PPV and they delivered. Plus it had an awesome ME (Masaaki Vs TOKYO)

Anarchy Rulez'99: nothing better then Tanaka/Taz/Awesome, it was cool. Even tho I've seen better

Fulltime Killer, when you get the J Cup try not to expect marvels as its been built up beyond belief and is virtually impossible to live up to the hype!

When you watch it later for the second time its usually much better.

Yes, I totally agree. I know some people have taken all the hype for the Super J Cup 1st stage and been disappointed by it on first showing. But you have to watch it again. Basically, the Great Sasuke's three matches on the card are all great.

I got my hopes up too high for Super J Cup 2nd Stage and was ultimately disappointed. Not that it is a bad event, but my expectation level was far too high.

I didn't realize we were including shows from this side of the sea so.

    #1 Skydiving J
#2 Anarchy Rulez 99 (storm vs lynn alone make this card)
    #3 Super J cup 94
    #4 Guilty as Charged 99
    #5 Wrestlemania 10

Can't belive no-one's mentioned AJW's Dream Slam yet; a fantastic show. Top-to-bottom, maybe better than Super J Cup 94.

SJC 95 was another great one.

Skydiving J though, wasn't all that good actually. Only the Delfin-TAKA match was a standout, and the rest was actually way below what they could have been, especially the Sasuke-Guerrero match.

SJC3 was a huge dissapointment. Of course; had they brought in more NJPW guys it could have been different. Some more Americans would have been nice too (although of course none of the available talent at the time could fill the shoesof Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko & Jericho).

AJW had many great shows in the early-mid 90's; Dream Slams, Destiny, Monday Nite Sensation, Queendom, Big Egg.......great stuff.

I really liked NJPW's January 4th show from 1996 too. Muto-Takada is, along with the first Sasaki-Kawada, my favourite NJPW heavy's match ever. Liger-Kanemoto was great, and who can forget Inoki-Vader ?

    I enjoyed the Super J Cup '94.

I also enjoy Wrestlemania VI. I thought Hogan show some kind of wrestling skills agaisnt the Warriror.
