'British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith dead at 39

Davey Boy Smith passed away yesterday in Canada from an apparent heart attack.

I would like to thank Davey for years of service to the wrestling industry and for improving the status of wrestling in the UK.

Another legend passes on.

I found out during the PPV that Davey Boy died. He & The Dynamite Kid were my favorite Tag Team in the WWF during the 80's. Vince McMahon tried so hard to find his version of The Rock n Roll Express, not knowing he had a better product all along in Davey Boy & Dynamite Kid. Davey's Matches in Japan as a Junior Heavyweight are legendary. His stints as Intercontinental Champion (over Bret Hart) & European Champion (over Owen Hart) & Tag Team Champion (With Dynamite Kid & Owen Hart) put him as One of most Versatile performers in WWF History. Rest in Peace Davey... Say Hello to Owen & Brian

I was shocked when I read the news too. I just heard as well that he finally got his life back on track. I miss him, Im clad I have the honour of seeing him wrestle live when he came back home in 1997 for WWF One Night Only, that match he had against HBK is a forgotton classic. I hope his family will get over this time in shock. And remember 'My bite IS worse than my bark!'
