First of all I have to explain the latest happenings regarding the Iron Man Heavy Metal Title. The last time the title was seen in DDT was on 8/26 at Lalaport, where Ichimiya defeated Masashi Tsunoda to win the title (73rd Champion). Ichimiya worked the "DEEP 2001 - 6th IMPACT" show on 9/7 and lost at Tokyo's Ariake Coliseum against Kazuki Okubo. Ichimiya gave the title to Okubo after the match (74th Champion). Okubo had to defend the title on 11/9 at the U-FILE CAMP show against Takashi Echigo. Echigo won the match and became new champ (75th Champion). Ichimiya attacked Echigo at the press conference, hit him with a boot and took the title (76th Champion). Yesterday Ichimiya defended the title against Showa-ko. He pinned her at 4'59'' after the famous legdrop. Echigo ran to the ring and attacked Ichimiya, but other wrestlers held Echigo back. 11-year old TV star Kosei Horie (who plays a character called "Manpuku-kun") presented Ichimiya with flowers. Th kid pinned Ichimiya and became the new champ (77th Champion). Ichimiya chased him away and they will fight on the TV show for the title. One thing is for sure, Kosei Horie is the youngest champion in puroresu history :-)

DDT is one of the most disgusting groups I've ever heard of. I refuse rto spend my money on their shows because of crap like this. Those amounts of title changes are well beyond the realms of reason. If I ever promoted an 11 year old kid as my champion I'd shoot myself. If I didn't know better I'd think they put everybody's name in a hat and when your name gets pulled you win the title.

You're not kidding. Now, you didn't hear this from me, but I have been tipped off from a very reliable source that in attempt to keep up with DDT McMahon is in negotiations with Britney Spears to beat both Big Show and Shawn Michaels to reunite the WWE Title...that's just a rumor though.

Ok, I thought that WCW did the worst thing by giving their World title to David Arquette, but ****!!! I have never heard of such crap!!!! That many title changes??? An 11 year old getting a title!!!!! Man, that fed should go out of business. I thought the WWE was the anti-christ of the wrestling world (we should all join to get Mcmahons out of the wrestling world, and turn WWE into wrestling.) but this crap should be stopped!!!!! If only RD Reynolds is into Puroresu, so he could put this crap on Wrestlecrap.com.

The only thing that stops DDT from going out of business is the fact that it's owned by a money mark. It truly is a shame because someone who is willing to bear these kinds of losses could really put on a killer show, if he wanted to. Maybe even a Dreamslam every night, DDT loses more yen than it costs to buy a few DVDs from Japan, and if you import, you know that's some serious cash.

And of yeah, this has wrestlecrap written ALL over it. And it will only get worse as the title defense will no doubt be interrupted by Bunko Kanazawa who will win the title, bring out Yukari Sakurada, Maiko Kazano and Mai Hagiwara to form DDT's surefire stable that will take them right to the top - pWo Japan! The scary thing is that if they market it properly it would really work.

Yesterday's "NEVER MIND 2002" show at Korakuen Hall was another display of DDT's strengths. Good wrestling and good storylines...
What gives guys is DDT good or bad? On the surface any show that features a match at a fruit market and another guy being turned to stone at least gets my curiousity up. Is this junk worth a look or do I stay away?

Keller, if you have 10 bux, buy a DDT tape off of highspots.com and see for yourself if you like it. If ya don't like it, don't buy anymore tapes. If you do like it, buy more tapes. I will be doing that soon.

Yes, a wrestler turned to stone, an 11-year-old winning the Iron Man title, an inanimate object winning the Iron Man title (MIKAMI's ladder), a referee who stalks young women, a wrestler who shuns the love of two women for another (male) wrestler... from what I hear, DDT is the Japanese version of everything bad from the WWE and WCW.....

..... and yet I hear that there is some good wrestling happening in their promotion. MIKAMI and KUDO did very well at NOAH's Differ Ariake Jr. Cup tournament this year, becoming the talk of the show.

When I get a couple of bucks, I'm getting a DDT tape to see what it's like. I'll let you all know.....
